“I had the special brisket burnt ends with fried okra and beans. The fried okra was the star here, very flavorful. Brisket ends and beans were fine, nothing special. I would like to come back and try more.”

“The food was excellent. They make their sauces and dough fresh in house. Even the Alfredo sauce is made in house. Great service as well. The waitress took good care of all our needs and made great recommendations on what to order. The feel of the inside is of a small bistro and we loved it.”

“Me and my dad decided to camp out here and go kayaking for Easter and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had! Mickey Heath is a phenomenal guy, he made sure any of our questions were answered immediately! Very laid back atmosphere with a beautiful location. All the staff were kind and friendly as well! We went to their restaurant the first night we stayed and it was so good we couldn’t resist going back. 10/10 spot and will definitely be back!”

“This is really the only option available for breakfast in the area, but it turned out to be great! I enjoyed an omelette and my wife had the big breakfast. We were both fully satisfied and the service was friendly and prompt!”

“Update: You cannot trust the hours posted call first. Food was better than we thought it would be, only one person working the restaurant so a little slow and food was coming out a little at a time to our table. For example brought out our tacos, a few minutes later our tostadas, and then one of the hot items, and a little while later our final two hot items were delivered. So if you don't mind starting at different times in your party and having your food brought out more like courses all is good.Parking: Stairs are steep to get into the building and only one small hand rail not super safe for individuals who have balance issues”

“When my boyfriend and I were literally caught between a rock and a hard place, mickey at smooth rapids proved there are good people out there. Our truck (pull vehicle) for our fifth wheel broke down .. he let us come to his park, and helped us immensely. We ate at the restaurant, stayed at the campground for 10 weeks. They went above and beyond. I can't say enough. They made a bad situation more than bearable, we actually had fun! Thank you mickey!!!!!”

“Rustic, country, atmosphere with great food and service. This is a small restaurant with limited seating however worth the wait. The veggie omelet is my favorite breakfast along with the Billy Nelson. For dinner the Voodoo pasta was amazing!Parking: You can park on the street or if you want to walk a bit there is a free lot about a block and a half away.”

“Good was great, the service I received was great by the two younger girls. The older lady Marie came out from the back, had a huge attitude and shaking her head because there was a line. She seemed bothered that there was a line of people and the two younger girls were working as fast as they could. She not only had an attitude towards the other employees she was rude to the customers. If you’re in a bad mood stay home- no need to have a bad attitude towards others or slamming the oven door.”

“We eat regularly, I describe it as not just the best pizza in the area, but some of the best pizza I've had anywhere. The crust of pizza makes or breaks it, and in this case definitely makes it, but the toppings are no slouch either. We've yet to have a pizza/garlic knot/cinnamon roll/etc that wasn't thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our usual suspects, however, are the Bianca, the Loaded Pepperoni, and always the Ginny (w/ cupping pepperoni). We've tried nearly all of the seasonal/monthly/weekly specials and they've all been loved, even by the kiddos.Brian, Sara, and their growing family are so kind and gracious towards anyone who walks through the doors, and we love every chance we get to visit.Dietary restrictions: We have a diabetic in our family who's really intentional on their carbohydrate intake, but they're always happy to get a Pizza Salad, Wings, and then strip the toppings of a meatier pizza, the crust of which never goes to waste, as it's usually the first choice of our kids for leftovers the next day.Kid-friendliness: Our kids love eating at Viola Pizza Company, everything from the Bianca or Garlic Knots to the ice cream they're always asking for afterwards.”
