This sushi place is very much tailor to non Asians. Their rolls lacked that flavor that most sushi places have. It didn't spark joy to me when I ate it. They were a good size which is why they are a bit more expensive than other sushi places. It was nothing special which I was very disappointed in. It had such great reviews but very much under performed in flavor. Their female staff members were amazing though! They need a huge raise for how much they do and how quickly it gets done. I never saw their female staff stand around doing nothing. It is a very busy place with lots of takeout orders so expect your food to take a while to come out to you. I would drive the extra 10 minutes to a sushi place in Plano if you're looking for something better.

I've only had Shiawase twice now but will never go back. The first time, all the food was great. It's a bit pricey but I thought it was worth it. This is a photo of a fresh roll, as soon as I got it. I've even time stamped it and the restaurant didn't offer a refund. (My order was takeout) They should've just left the avocado out instead of using a rotten one. So gross. Our second roll had avocado that was green and fine but this is unacceptable, especially when the speciality rolls are $20.

Went for dinner with my friends on Saturday night 3/5/22. I had Tuna tower, Volcano and Titanic roll. I GOT THE WORSE FOOD POISONING NEXT DAY! Not sure which roll/fish caused it. But there are so many great sushi places and I was excited to try a new one but I mean what kind of food is still place serving that gave me food poisoning. Also their water tasted so bad. And my lychee martini was served in chipped martini glass. Sure to say- I will not be coming back and I wanted to let people know to please be safe, food poisoning is NO FUN and should never happen.

Quality of this place has really gone down to what it used to be when it first opened up. The environment was very welcoming and genuine. Now it feels like we're just being moved to go in and out as quickly as possible. Sushi is still good. But the environment is meh.

Sushi was very good. I had the chirashi bowl and the sashimi was very good. Miso soup was a little sweet but it may have been due to the miso paste. Dinner side salad was very good with a sesame soy vinaigrette dressing. Chicken teriyaki was very good. Portions were adequate. Bento box with teriyaki chicken and tonkatsu was good. Kids meals came in a cute wooden 3 piece bowl.

My go-to sushi place! I crave the Happy Salmon Tower appetizer on a weekly basis! Their baked rolls are really good quality too

The sushi was very good. We had baked salmon roll, shrimp tempera roll, California roll, and yellow tail collar. Everything tasted fresh and good. Service was decent. To get a 5, I would need to service to be exceptional. The prices were very high. The booth we sat in needed some repairs. Overall it was a good experience and we will go back.

Was recomended to us to try. Was told was amazing and portions were more then one person could eat. Ordered delivery and was highly dissapointed. Way overpriced for what we recieved. No mayo on the baked scallop and when called.was told it dissapears into the food. Strange 1st place where have had baked sushi rolls that the mayo disappeared. And $9 for a California roll that wasnt anymore special then other places that charge less , same with the 6 potstickers for $10. Not very big or filling. Not horrible by no means, just very dissapointing, expect what i pay for and certainly did not get that here, not even close.

CARE.Have eaten in many times, always great.Today I had take out and what kept coming to mind was care. The soup was taped shut. There was a square of cardboard, between the sushi lunch and the kids chicken meal! I mean, that’s care. Care for the sushi being served, care for me in having a great food experience. They also gave utensils for kids & adults. They gave TWO kinds of soy sauce! Regular & low sodium! Who does that? No one. Except Shiawase. Bravo. The food was fresh, generous and traveled well.Do give them a try. Seems to me the owner/manager is always on site. He’s very nice.

Superb sushi and excellent service!!! Staff are all so kind and helpful - they take time to figure out what you might like and give spot on recommendations. I thought the entrees would be so-so because it's mainly a sushi place but man, everything here is good!

I've been to a couple of other sushi restaurants nearby and this is my favorite one so far. Fortunately for us it's very close by. It's also never been too crowded when we've gone. The food always comes out quickly and tastes fresh. I usually get a dragon roll whenever I get sushi and they make the best one I've had so far. It's huge with plenty of avocado and eel without the nasty spikes that can make you choke. My husband gets the chicken katsu and it's a huge plate of food! We also always get the chicken teriyaki for our toddler and it comes in a very cute plate. I believe we met the owner and she was very friendly with our toddler so that's always a huge plus! I definitely see this as a place we will be frequently visiting.
