Ugh, I really don't like doing this, especially about one of our FAVORITE restaurants, but we ordered take out tonight - sirloin, broccoli and ceasar salad. Broccoli was great but could barely eat the steak. Plastic utensils couldn't cut it so ate it with my hands but kept having to spit out the bites. Waaay to chewy. Ate a 1/3 of it and gave up.We live in CO and pass thru Amarillo every other month or so to visit family in Dallas. We always look forward to eating at Saltgrass since we don't live near one in CO. This experience was very disappointing after having driven all day and being hungry. I guess everyone has off days, it's just unfortunate that this cost so much!Maybe we'll try again.

These guys were packed on a Saturday night, of course. I had just gotten off the road after driving almost 500 miles, the last hundred miles in a serious windstorm. The Knob Creek Old-Fashioned was exactly what the doctor ordered. The 9 ounce fillet, which I had ordered medium well, came out medium or, more likely, medium rare. But after Brandi brought it back — along with some extra mashed potatoes by way of compensation for the error — it was delicious. Good salad, hot bread with honey butter. No complaints.

Had the filet mignon trio each medallions had different flavors on top the first blue cheese bacon butter that melted in your mouth. The flavors exploded on the pallet with every bite. Next medallion had grilled shrimp with lemon butter I could eat this all day and never get tired of it and the third medallion had sautéed mushrooms on top cooked to perfection cooked medium on the medallions. Wow wow wow. You gotta try this you won't be disappointed. So glad we found this place we are just traveling thru from California. Service was great. I will say the Margarita we had was so bad I couldn't get it down and my wife took 1 sip and was done. We had to send them back. But they made it right by refunding the cost of the drinks. Other than that it's 5 stars for me
