The cost of the food is on par with industry and worth it when you get the taste. They tend to always give you a little something extra (even though it is not required).

“COME HERE!! Star Donuts has always been amazing. The donuts are literally the best in town and made fresh EVERY morning. Star Donuts is a lovely place for children, as the owners and employees always make sure to engage, have specialty designed donuts, and offer treats to the kiddos who come in.

Not only that, the employees have great attitudes and greet people by name when they come in. I’ve never seen such a wonderful group of people with great drive, work ethic, care for customers, and general love/respect for the people around them. As Star Donuts is a much loved location in Arlington for donuts and breakfast items, during busy times the batches of food made can sell out quickly. Don't worry though, if Star Donuts is in-between batches, just ask how long until the next batch will be out! If you have large orders or need something specific, call 30 minutes in advance and they’ll set it aside for you!

I have been coming to Star Donuts for years, so I wanted to clarify some common misconceptions I’ve heard about this location:
1) That they “sell out” very early. Star Donuts is a popular spot! If you need something specific, call ahead to make sure they have your items when you get there. As Star Donuts ensures freshness and quality, making large amounts of food in the early morning would contradict that. If they don’t have something when you come in, they are most likely waiting for the dough to rise in the next batch before cooking!
2) I saw someone mentioned that their croissant sandwich didn’t have any egg in it, and they were upset that they weren’t told in advance. I’ve had that sandwich before, and it’s clearly labeled “Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwich.” They have a different item called the “Ham, Egg, and Cheese Kolache.” They must have gotten the two items confused!
3) I also saw that someone had an issue with payment! I’ve been coming here since Star Donuts first opened, and I have NEVER had a problem with payment. Star Donuts has amazing ethics and morals.

Like I mentioned before, I’ve been coming here for a very long time. It’s a tradition for my family to grab food here before any important event, and I plan to pass this tradition down to my own children. I cannot stress enough how wonderful Star Donuts is. Know that when you visit here, and are visiting a place of the highest quality.“

They always give you extra donut holes, and an extra donut on big orders, and I've never been disappointed. Most other places are sold out by 10:00am. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice and she switched out the characters for me on two of the donuts without hesitation. “Heard this shop was under new ownership and management. Went to try them out and i was extremely impressed by everything. Spoke with the owner and you can feel the passion when he speaks. Quality individual. Workers are respectful, kind, cool, and accommodating. Their items are phenomenal. Ive tried their kolaches and a variety of donuts. Amazing! You can tell everything is made fresh hours before, fresher if you get there around 6-7am. They have new flavors that the previous owners didnt. Biscoff, pistachio, and cookies and creme donuts and they are amazing. The owner told me about what they have in store for this shop and man am i excited to see what is to come. So happy this place is 10 minutes from me. Another great quality they have is that they dont waste anything and nothing is saved and reused for following days. They told me that the leftovers are passed around to different places around the neighborhood, police dept, fire station, other local businesses. They even brought some to my job and local mosques. “I was very impressed with this donut shop! I've been looking for an alternative to fast food breakfast, and I was happy to see that this shop offered savory sandwiches. I tried the half-moon -- which comes with bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese on their kolache-style roll -- and it was absolutely delicious! More importantly, it sat well and didn't upset my stomach. I also bought a cinnamon roll and a mini apple fritter. The roll was so much bigger than I expected, but it was delicious. The apple fritter was the best I've personally had; I am normally not a fan of them, but the inside was soft while the top was almost caramelized. Both went great with the coffee I had brewed at home. My brother also had a breakfast sandwich (cheese and bacon croissant) and a glazed donut. He loved both. The part I appreciated most, however, was the commitment to their health practices during this current crisis. They've installed high sneeze shields around the entire counter, and the cashier donned a fresh glove before handling my credit card. Due to all of this, we will definitely be back!“

“Not gonna lie- the name drew me in and I had no idea what to expect. As, I walked in, I noticed bobo tea and donuts on the sign. I ordered a mocha frappe with coffee bobo. The frappe was amazing but the bobo (not so sure). They said these particular ones were like crystals in your mouth soaked in coffee. I envisioned this burst of espresso lol. It was more like a blob of hard jello chunks with little to no flavor. I’m not sure if they filled half the cup with them but that’s all I could get out the straw. Definitely a texture thing (for those of you)..when you know you know.
However, the donut was divine. It’s a state fair funnel cake. Highly recommend-“

“The place has really good quality doughnuts. These are prolly one of the best donuts from a chain restaurant. Their doughnuts are NOT greasy at all and feel very FRESH. The atmosphere is ok, it is decorated with a retro feel of the 50's and I like that. There are not that many chairs so keep that in mind. However, they have a drive-thru so it is very convenient.“
