Sour power

Lots of sours but a couple not so much that are very very good. Nice shaded patio too.

Do the flight, even if you’re not sure about spurs. These beers have range!

Cool spot! They do have tasty non sour beers! Loved the East Side Juicy IPA. Cheers.

Great service. Awesome selection. I drove an hour to get there (because I'm from out of town) & it was absolutely worth it.

The only reason I am giving this place any stars is because the beers were exceptional (especially if you love sours). However, the service here was trash and the lady with the tattoos and colored hair working behind the counter was insanely rude. My friend and I decided to visit this brewery on Christmas Eve since it was one of the few spots opened till late that day in the city. Once we arrived, we noticed a few other guys at the brewery. We asked the lady at the counter if it was okay where we parked, as we did not want our car to get towed or ticketed, however she made us feel incompetent about not knowing for sure where to park. We are from out of town and simply wanted to confirm. I also had asked her between a few options which beer she recommends, and she gave me a disgruntled look and said she likes all the beers there. Very helpful... My friend and I placed another order for a beer and charcuterie board after our first round of beers. The lady seemed really angry at us for placing another order. Not sure why. I did not think there was a limit to how much we can order, especially given we had only placed one beer order each the first round. The brewery wasn't even busy. By the time we placed the second order, there were only 2 guys at the brewery, who she seemed to be a lot kinder/friendlier to and laughing along with. My friend and I were sitting outside, but whenever we came inside, the lady seemed to have an attitude and did not answer our questions/made us feel unwelcome. My friend took her second beer order to the outside seating area, and as I was about to bring my beer order and charcuterie board out, the waitress rudely said "Merry Christmas," outright rolled her eyes at me, and ran to close the outside patio door where I was about to head out from with my beer and food. So, I had to use the other door to exit. Such a weird turn of events. Even my friend who was outside was wondering why the lady quickly ran to the door to close it as I was trying to head out through there. It was so odd, and I truly did not understand the hostility the lady had towards my friend and I. It seemed like the lady did not want us to return inside (probably because she was too busy talking to those 2 guys at the counter, and did not want us "interrupting"). Really not sure what she had against us. Also, the charcuterie board she made us barely had any cheese in it, and she skimped on the other items on the board as well. She really had it out for us for no reason. I guess the lady was angry about working a shift on Christmas Eve... I don't know, but that is not an excuse. We did not feel welcomed at the brewery, and the lady really made us feel like she was obliging us. We were being nothing but kind and respectful and were really excited to visit this brewery as we love sour beers. The service made this experience unenjoyable and we are not sure if we will be comfortable returning again the next time we visit Austin.

We were almost too full and tired to come here, but I am so grateful that we did. The service was great - they even charged my phone for me! They have a tasting menu where you get four full pours and then you get to keep the glass for almost the same price as a 4 beer flight so you better believe we did it. We started with the Imperial stout with orange and chocolate and that was our favorite, so much so that we got a 4 pack of it to fly back home with us. The cranberry one was fine, but nothing special. Our final two pours included the Earl Gray tea one which tasted so much of Earl Gray, that I had to also get that one and cans to go. The final one was the pomegranate sour, which my boyfriend enjoyed thoroughly. Unfortunately, there was a bike bar crawl, so the place was packed when we got there, but we were eventually able to find a place to sit outside, and their adorable decorated patio. Even the bathrooms were cute. I would spend a lot of time here if I was a local.

If you like sour beers in particular, then Blue Owl is the spot for you! Their Pilsner is pretty good too! Get out and support your local breweries!

Had a bit of a layover at the airport, and heard great things about Blue Owl from my craft beer friends. It did not disappoint! Great sours, good prices, and love the vibe. The beertender, Walker, was knowledgeable and kind. Handled customers of all types and was easy to chat with...Glad I was here. I'll be back!

What an amazing find for a sour beer lover! So many varieties and their flight deals (4 goblets of different sours and the glass to take home for $28, can get smaller glass for cheaper), are incredible. To be honest, even too generous of a deal since we could hardly finish 3 ? thankfully, you can get the remaining beers in the flight to-go in a canned version or even come back at another time to finish your flight! Also, the canned beers are so much cheaper than typical craft sour beers you can get elsewhere. People who work there are so sweet and helpful too. Vibes are chill but cute and I can see myself becoming a regular if I lived here.

We stopped by this spot for a couple of drinks before our dinner reservation down the street. They have a wide variety of sour beers and cider.. i had the sour mexican ljme tastico . It was good but I dont really care for sours, they dont have many options for people that dont like sours . They have a couple snack options. We had the charcuterie board. It was good . They have great patio seating

Interesting spot. They specialize in sours, so be prepared. But good take on different flavors and types, glad we came across this space.

Parking can be tricky here but it's always worth it for my favorite sour beer spot and one of my favorite beer spots in all of Austin. Great people, great beers, great vibes hanging out inside or on the patio. Always a win to swing by and try what's on tap with Blue Owl.
