Most racist establishment I've ever been to. Constant remarks concerning my looks and food I was ordering. Horrendous service as well, thirty minutes plus for them to actually take my order. Really disappointed with the work force.

If I could leave zero stars I would. The whole time we were given ugly looks by almost every staff there. 4 different waiters had to come over and ask us what did we order and do we need to order. Question why this and that. horrible service. Food was horrible as well. would rather have taco bell than eat here again. Would highly suggest this place to hire a whole new staff or shut down period.

Really weird vibes from the employees here. Made faces when we ordered our food and didn't get our drinks. Another waiter had to come by and ask if we'd been helped yet. Food was alright, but we would've preferred if there wasn't a strand of hair in 2 of our plates.

I tried the new small tacos plate and they were wonderful!!!! (Not on the menu yet) I couldn't wait to take any home so I cleaned my plate. If you love cilantro give it a try. Service was great particularly if you speak Spanish and they have recently redecorated!

We ordered take out so I can't comment on ambiance. Service was competent. We ordered sides of guacamole, and pico de gallo. They included 1/2 C of their salsa roja. The guac was not seasoned beyond S&P and didn't have tons of onion, tomato or cilantro. I liked that it was pretty much pure avocado. I loved the pico de gallo because it was made with equal parts tomato, onion, and Serrano with just a wee bit of cilantro. They included an almost full gallon zip of very nice chips! We split the chicken flautas and the chicken enchiladas suiza. The flautas were large and well stuffed with chicken but just a touch dry. The suiza sauce was delicious! I liked both entrees. If I lived in Austin, I'd go back!

The food is delicious every time we go! I see it as the best hidden gem in north Austin!

Definitely is not a fancy place and very unassuming but dare to be surprised by the food. It is so good and I’m confident to say competes head to head with an Austin institution: Matt’s El Rancho. The prices are definitely more reasonable than Matt’s. I got a margarita for $11- it’s good and very well balanced. I ordered a carne asada which I think was $18. It’s a thin piece of meat but it’s perfectly grilled where it’s slightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Hubby got the grilled chicken plate, which was covered with cheesy goodness. The pico de gallo is very well-done and well-seasoned. I’m so glad because many places overlook the pico. I got an enchilada a la carte to try it out - really homemade tasting with a delicious gravy on top. One was perfect because I was pretty full after the carne asada! The chips and salsa are nice to start off the meal but wow, the salsa was quite spicy that day. I cannot wait to go back to Camino Real soon- my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

My go to Tex-Mex restaurant since the 90's. Solid food and spirits, reasonably priced, and first-class customer service.

While the food at this restaurant was delicious and satisfying, our dining experience was uncomfortable due to an unwelcoming energy. Despite arriving 45 minutes before closing and promptly placing our order, we were disappointed to receive raw chicken and uncooked French fries for the kids. Additionally, the waitress seemed very angry that we were there, and we were not informed that we were supposed to exit through another door. We were then yelled at to not go in the door we came from, which added unnecessary tension. Communication goes a long way, and if we were too late to be serviced, it should have been communicated.

Great little place and what you would expect for a mom and pop type place. I was happy they set me up with what I wanted despite it not being on the menu. Cheese enchiladas smothered in carne guisada for the win. Honestly would have been five stars but the beans were really runny. Everything else was on point. Will be back for sure.
