I had a wonderful dining experience at The Corner restaurant. The burnt ends appetizer was tender and succulent, setting the tone for a delicious meal. The smoked beef tacos were packed with flavor and tasted amazing. The beef short ribs were cooked to perfection.To top it all off, I ended the meal with a rich Brownie for dessert. It was the perfect sweet treat to round out a very enjoyable meal.

The food and server (Ali) were both amazing. We loved every single item we ordered.However, when we first walked in (myself, my husband, and his best friend) the host looked at us rather oddly (we were dressed casually and this is a somewhat nice place), then proceeded to sit us right next to the door at a table that backed up right next to the walkway, but the entire place was empty (being that it wasn't yet 5 pm). In short, it was the spot they sit you when they want you to be out quickly. I wouldn't normally make such a wild claim, but this was too obvious with how empty the place was. Plus, the up-and-down looks we got upon arrival were really uncalled for--we were all wearing nice jackets and jeans (without rips). We would have spent more money here had not the first impression been so odd. Don't judge a book by its cover!

This is the first restaurant I visited when I was in Austin as I was staying in JW it was quite convenient. This place has great vibe and friendly staff. This place is always packed and there is a very good reason. This has become my go to place in Austin Downtown and I visit here quite often. The food is pretty mediocre overall tbh. I was open to a hotel restaurant being good with all the reviews here, but it’s pretty standard corporate fair. Your brunch dollars are better off elsewhere around town.
