Review for Culinary Dropout:I recently dined at Culinary Dropout and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the incredible atmosphere. The ambiance was simply amazing, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The meal itself was outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. One standout element was the cup of coffee I ordered - it was truly exceptional. Sipping on it next to an open flame added an extra touch of coziness to the whole dining experience.Despite the chilly weather outside, the area where we were seated was surprisingly warm and inviting. It made our time there even more enjoyable, knowing that we could relax and savor our meal in such a comfortable environment.Overall, Culinary Dropout is truly an awesome place to dine. The combination of delicious food, fantastic atmosphere, and attentive service makes it a top-notch choice for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal out.

Lively place, superb ambiance and friendly staff. The food choices weren’t that many of you are vegetarian so we just had drinks. But gosh the place is a bit steep on the price curve!! But I guess all of them in that area (The Domain) are! Literally a one inch tall bowl of almonds which probably had less than 10 almonds was $4 and a 2 in plate with made be 10 olives was $5.50

Service was kind, attentive and friendly. My family and I ate on a Friday night which was busy but it makes good people watching. I ordered the chopped chicken salad which was delicious. My brother and cousin both ordered the ribs which they thoroughly enjoyed. I salivated for it as well. This restaurant draws a fun, eclectic mix of ppl. Great spot for a casual date, chill with friends or meet up with family. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re new to Austin or looking to try something different. Oh yeah, parking can be tricky if you’re new to the Domain area and can’t find valet. We parked in the purple garage and walked about a block to the restaurant. Parking would be the only drawback about this place.

Mixed review. Had the Roasted Salmon and the 36 Hour Pork Ribs. The pork ribs were tasty and the sauce was good with barely a hint of jalapeno, they should put molasses first in the description. The salmon was not very good, over seasoned and dry, on a very small portion of risotto.

Wow, what a disappointment! I ordered the house made potato chips , they came out cold and greasy. Couldn’t eat them and the bar staff offered to take them off the bill. I then tried the fried chicken with truffle fries. Same thing, cold and greasy fries. The chicken was just average, have made better myself. This joint makes their money off of selling alcohol. Food is very poor.

The food is great; the service not so much. Our table was wedged between booth seating & a bar so every time someone went by, our seats were bumped. Not very comfortable! Then, the main course was served to everyone in our party except one person who waited almost 10 min for his food. Surprisingly, the server never attempted to rectify this faux pas by offering a compensation such as a free dessert. We only received a brief apology: nothing more! To top it off, we HAD to ask to have our water glasses refilled!! We were disappointed as we had spent a lot for a nice meal ?

Treated one of my girlfriends for a belated birthday lunch. We both ordered wedge salads, which were not wedges whatsoever! My salad was drenched in dressing with two cherry tomatoes, yes I said two! and had to dig around with a microscope to even see the blue cheese! Her salad looked lifeless and also only two cherry tomatoes. Culinary Dropout, not sure how you could charge almost $15.00 per salad with it not even including a protein. My eggs were basic, toast was burnt and solid as a rock, not to mention the food was cold when it came out. I was starving and didn’t want to wait, considering we had already waited for a table.“Took a shot and missed!” ... very disappointed as I had only heard great things about this place… also embarrassed as this was my turn to treat her.

I visited this location and it was great! It was my first time going since I moved to Austin! I ordered the fried chicken and ?. I took is home to eat later and the biscuit? ??? The waiter was great, the live music was bomb! Someone came around to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! This was a Friday night and we had to go on the wait list for 30-40 mins. We just shopped around until they had a table ready but we were not complaining. IT WAS WELLLLL WORTH THE WAIT!!! I WISH THIS WENT TO 10 STARS!!
