It's a pretty cool bar. Bar stools are extremely uncomfortable (we both had bruises on back of our legs the next day), table next to us was obnoxiously loud to the point that we eventually left, which I get with it being a bar, but it was to the point of everyone in the bar staring at this one table because they were so crazy loud. typically I have seen the bartender politely ask them to be a little quieter in a ritzy bar like this, off the drag. Bartender was super cool, made great drinks, and prices were good. I gave 5 stars because I feel like without that one table collectively screaming simultaneously, it would have been a really chill cool bar. Will be back.

We love speakeasies and this one didn't disappoint! You enter through a secret passage and feel transported back in time. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. We had great bartenders and they had a great variety of drinks. We were only staying for a short visit but Austin has a ton of speakeasies so make that a priority if you enjoy that! On to the next place!

Music was excellent, loved the show. Bar service was frazzled. Would definitely go back.Update: Two years later I am in Austin again and I went back. Another excellent show. Less crowded and bar service was top notch. 5th star earned. What a great bar.

Got home and realized that the bartender added extra tip money to my receipt. Sent an email to management. Haven't heard back.

Stumble ups on this little gem of a place in downtown. Coolest little speakeasy spot with a sliding door that's full of books. The ambiance is very dimly lit and sensual. The drinks were very great. It has a very cool dive bar feel but not the trashy 6th street feel. Highly recommend stopping by if you are ever near this area.

Unless you want service from bartenders who hate their life, I suggest that you find somewhere else. I have been here numerous times with friends, family, and my partner. Each time your met with a bartender with a bad attitude. My guess, bad management?! I don’t understand it, If you do not want to interface with the public, I suggest exploring a new career perhaps? Great thing about Austin, there are many bars to captia. Find somewhere else to drink for 14 dollars a cocktail!

Love this place been coming here for years but noticed last night they added a $10 gratuity on to my tab . I had already tipped $20 so I didn't change it but make sure you look at your tab before you Add an additional tip !

So fun. Great drinks and has the best chill vibe I've seen in Austin. It's small enough to feel intimate but doesn't feel crowded normally. Bartenders have always been super great, my personal favorite spot to go out. Music selection is so great.
