I want to love this place. The service when present was exceptional but it took forever to get food and drinks. They did fix an egg that was undercooked but it took about 20 minutes to fry that egg. We went here when it was the previous concept and had a similar experience. Food is good and portions are acceptable. Fix the service timing and this will be a 5 star restaurant all day.Kid-friendliness: Accommodating to children

Poor service and overly salty food, disappointing - portions are huge (obvs) if that’s your thing

Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. We've tried it twice before and it's been incredible. That's the reason we went there last night - we had a bday to celebrate. All of the main courses (including ribeye, tenderloin, fish) and sides were extremely salty. I couldn't eat the fish bc of saltiness. And worst, both meat cuts were overcooked. We asked for medium rare, and it was medium. Unfortunate bc the cuts of meat are from a very special ranch. Staff was attentive and apologized, but only refunded the sides and offered us free dessert, totaling about $75. The bill with tips for 4 people was about $450 with that discount already. Of course, we tipped in full as it's not the server's fault. We could have complained more and requested a better solution, but our family tends to not return dishes or make a fuss. Just a big note to the chef.

Maie Day does not disappoint with flavor! The food was delicious and the combinations and pairing were fantastic. The service was great. Biggest downfall was how loud is was for dinner. We were a table of 4 and could barely hear each other and 1 half of the table could not even hear the server. Go for the food but if you walk to talk, maybe choose a quieter place.

Really overpriced. Couple items in menu not available. Took almost 50 minutes for orders get ready which can happen but they were not even all the way full.

Love Maie Day! They have the best French fries and ambiance. The patio barstool seats get an A+ for people watching and feeling like part of the vibe on South Congress while relaxing with a beverage.

I usually do not do this, but I will be surprised if this restaurant lasts a few more months. Service was pretty bad, and I usually am empathetic to the plight of restaurant workers. Server really not knowledgeable at all. Meat was overcooked, server forgot sides then bussed our plates after everyone was done eating their main course then brought the sides out; the whole experience was just really not well executed. It's a shame because some of the food is decent, but overall, a really poor showing from their whole team.

The food was fine. Our server however, was so standoffish and rude it was shocking! He maybe said about 5 words to us and we also waited a good 15 minutes for the check after finishing eating. We had to actually ask someone else for assistance. The menus are extremely difficult to read in the low light setting (white paper + light-colored, small font).I’m not sure if the dining room is always so smoky but it was truly too much for comfort. For $190 there are much better places to eat where the waitstaff won't snub you.Parking: They will validate parking

Went here with my girlfriend to celebrate Valentines and I think I found my new favorite Steak in Austin! The ribeye melted in my mouth, with a perfect char around the edges. A little pricy but a great date spot if you and your SO want to splurge a bit! Will definitely be coming back!

Granted, it was Valentine's Day, so we did expect it to be busy, but the poor service quality did not come from the busyness. Server was inattentive and we felt VERY rushed to leave. Very disappointed in our choice for Valentine's Day dinner

All of our dishes were very good. Of note was the chicken-fried steak along with the beautiful prime rib. The biggest downside was the very loud music - at one point it was heavy metal and so loud we could not have a conversation without yelling across the table. This was during dinner and once we were done it was turned up even louder. Not the best vibe.

Two of our three brunch meals were awful and sent back. Even though the restaurant only had a few other patrons seated (during prime time brunch on a Sunday — should have been a clue?) our waitress didn't provide the level of service I would expect after a $100+ bill even with an entree comped. and our 4 mimosas cost $40, absolutely insane! Would absolutely not go back.
