Had a team lunch at Trudy's, a spot I've frequented a few times before. Unfortunately, this visit left much to be desired. The ambiance was marred by a slippery floor, which made navigating the space a bit tricky. Additionally, we had an unfortunate encounter with a leaking AC unit across from our table, which dampened both the table and our spirits. Despite these setbacks, the food was decent, maintaining Trudy's reputation for serving up tasty dishes. Hopefully, the management addresses these maintenance issues to ensure a more pleasant dining experience in the future.

Good Tex Mex at a reasonable price with friendly servers. A great option if you're in the area.

First time eating here while in Austin and it did not disappoint. Great drinks and appetizers. The food was really good and service was good. I really liked the brisket options.

My brother and I stopped here twice while in Austin, and enjoyed it both times. The food was great, and the atmosphere thoroughly pleasant, but the very best thing about the place was the wonderful staff. Our second visit came on a crowded Sunday evening, and the staff was really hustling to keep up with the crowd, but nonetheless our server Brock bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with everything. I couldn't say enough about how much we enjoyed our visit, and if I ever end up in Austin again, this is where I'll be heading.

The waitress was awesome but unfortunately for her she was the only waitress in the whole building Plus washing dishes plus doing other things and once in awhile the bartender would help. I gave her a good tip because she earned it but as far as Trudy's themselves go it's not what I used to remember going there and the food wasn't that great either

This was a ROUGH brunch. I don’t think we will be back. Waterloo is right next door and a 10/10.

Do not ever order a top shelf margarita here. In all my years I've never had a bartender take advantage of me the way one did at this restaurant. He poured the most expensive tequila available without ever mentioning that fact. They lost a customer after 20 years.

The food here is alright, the first time I went the service was a little slow but I went back for a second time because I absolutely love that they have $1 mimosas on the first Sunday of every month. Their drinks are definitely good I'd say def just sit at the bar here

The food was good but not great. The bathrooms were also really dirty and the floor was sticky.

Love the layout of the restaurant!Unfortunately would not return because this is home to the worst chicken enchilada I've ever had. The meat looked like they took it from the bottom of the sink after doing all the dishes the night before. Not even an exaggeration.I got the chicken combo plate that has a chicken flauta, chicken enchilada, and a stuffed avocado. The stuffed avocado was actually really good, and the rice was alright. Everything else was... edible. There is much better tex-mex in the city that no should should ever have or need to eat here. Also, my server spilled a good bit of tea on the table when she was filling up our drink and came back and placed a stack of napkins on the table for US to wipe up instead of wiping it down herself.Make no mistake, the service is not what turned me off. It was definitely the food.
