“We stopped here to eat lunch after an appointment we had on their side of town. I was leary at first because I don't drink and initially thought from the name that it would be more along the lines of bar food. Pleasantly surprised at their extensive menu. The food was good. Interestingly enough, the menu and plates mimic that of Local Table - almost to a "t". I had the kabob plate and didn't see a difference in the presentation or flavor. I wonder if the owner of 401 owns Local Table.“

“I went to Little’s Oyster Bar for my birthday celebrated. I enjoyed the blue crab oysters, broccolini, and grouper. The waitstaff was very attentive to most of our needs. I would recommend this for a special occasion.Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian“

“The service was excellent! The food was good. However, the portions are very small. My wife ordered the mahi. It could not have been bigger that 5 oz. My kids (17 and 20) all wanted steak. But, a simple 8oz filet was $83 vs, a standard $50 at Flemmings or Ruth's Chris. Therefore I decided to share the 22 oz Waugh ribeye with my kids. It was the only economical choice. It was not enough food. On the plus side. The waiter was excellent!“

“TLDR: The slow service impaired the dining experience, and the passive aggressive gratuity procedure degrades the image of this restaurant.We just went here for a nice family dinner. They have a good variety of food choices. The tortilla soup and cioppino were both excellent, as were the confit potatoes. The strip steak had good flavor. The seafood beignets was unique but nothing spectacular and the roasted cauliflower was just ok. As for the desserts, the blockbuster was pretty good. The carrot cake was nothing special.What really needs improvement is the service. The waiter was slow in coming for each step of the ordering process and dining experience, and we had to flag him down twice. Also, the soup i ordered arrived at the same time as my entree, instead of being brought out with the appetizers. At least the lady that filled our water was always prompt. We ended up spending 2.5 hrs there due to slow service.Then, a 20% tip was printed onto our bill. At the bottom of the check (not disclosed on the menu), it says that a “suggested gratuity” is added for all parties of 8 or more, but we only had 5 people in our party (2 adults and 3 kids). It also says, the guest has "right to determine the final amount, free from compulsion or negotiation,” yet there it is printed onto the bill, and another line labeled “Additional Tip” below. For the level of service we received, I would’ve tipped 18% max. While I certainly could have argued it, the dinner took so long i just wanted to leave. It wasn’t much extra money, but of course that is not the point, and, it left me with a negative impression of this establishment.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu“

“Our first visit to Houston ended with a fabulous Easter Brunch at Guard & Grace. The Churro was huge, sinfully delicious, and enough for (4) to share. The wontons, burratta, and salmon sashimi as appetizers were all recommended by our waiter, and he was 100% right! All were mouth-watering delicious! “This place is special. Innovative approach to gourmet sandwiches. Very tasty food, exceptional across the board! Sliders, Reuben's and more amaze. Prices are pretty standard for this type of food. The service is top notch, too. The downside is over the top butter, cream (high fat) in everything. Some of the tastiest potato salads ever, but could never get more than a couple bites down. Would recommend taste testing dishes with a cross section of customers by age, gender, etc. and take their suggestions seriously.“

We both had the "special" ribeye and halibut (fish of the day), and both were incredible. Dessert was apple pie baked 3 hours this morning. “Loved the attention. We had a group of 12 ladies who were enjoying ourselves heartily while being pampered by KPs staff. They made us feel at home and not a bad spot to go on Wednesday. I liked that the byob is still there. I liked that they actually made a percent donation on our meals for a charity (forgot which 1). Pretty and yet not fussy and the food is excellent. There is ample parking w out having to vallet. Kerry Pauly has a great menu to choose from. Since Benjys was a fav restaurant that closed, and Kerry worked w the chef there, he picked up the hospitality & menu choices I prefer! He's usually there, attentive to his diners. Perhaps I was hungry but I felt the portions (rice) was small, but the lamb with combo basmatti rice with grilled tomatoes was heavenly ?. The place is great, especially for talks and presentations, the A/V setup is very professional, you can cutoff the overhead music, and do very impressive screen projections . All dishes were original but so tasty and well presented. This is on my Houston short list. A few comments, not negative but for consideration. - The menu is relatively limited, but offset by the fact that every dish we tried (which were many) were outstanding. - Several of the dishes were pretty spicy which was perfect for my taste, but may not be for everyone. - Concerning the staff. They were efficient and courteous, but I really don't like being served by women with big rings in their noses.“

“After being a big fan of Cafe Annie for decades we decided to try Turners. The service is exceptional and the food was excellent. The noise level is such that you cannot carry on a decent conversation: the tables are big so you have to lean over the table and literally scream to have a conversation. I found this quite unacceptable. Is it worth the price? I will leave that for others to decide but I think we will stick to the upstairs and Annie Cafe which is a bit more casual, better value for the money, and you can actually talk without blowing your lungs out. Turners is cozy, the tables are close together and it's dark: I kind of the like the openness of Annie Cafe a bit better, sorry. It was an excellent opportunity and I'm sure we'll be back at some point in the future, but I think upstairs in Annie Cafe is simply more relaxing and fun.“

“93' Til is a delightful neighborhood hot spot with amazing upscale food, great cocktails, and a chill atmosphere with a variety of seating options, including couches and soft chairs. They are often spinning records or playing other cool vibes. The music is sometimes loud but sometimes less so. The people are super nice, and any of the staff might stop by to check on you rather than just having one assigned server. Would recommend as a place to go with friends or simply chill out.“

You can book a table if you want but we went on a Sunday night and there were plenty of free tables.The service was kinda challenging, not sure if this happened because we were outside and there were not so many customers at the time.The food is mainly responsibly grown and organic, so prices are a bit higher and portions are enough.
