“Best place to eat in Bowie. Outstanding all you can eat food bar (buffet) with desert. This is hearty American country food. They do have a menu if you're not looking for a buffet. Open from 6am to 3pm Monday-Saturday.”

“I loved visiting 5 BarBQ and can’t wait to go back! Amazing food and amazing people! I’ve had the brisket and turkey and both were very flavorful, juicy, and just so delicious! I’m excited to try the corn and baked potatoes next :) The owners are the most amazing, sweet, kind, and wonderful people I have ever met. They are so friendly and welcoming, it has a cozy atmosphere and I felt right at home! 5 BarBQ is such an amazing place and I highly recommend stopping by and getting some good food! You won’t regret it!”

“The best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time. Definitely the best in Bowie and the surrounding area. The food tastes very fresh and every bit as good as the lovely presentation. They don’t throw everything together on one plate. Great atmosphere. Great service. Comparable prices.”

“My family and I came to Spicy Mexico. The waiter name is Phillip. He is so friendly and very helpful when we came in. He recommended things that we might want and gave his opinion to us. My family and I will be coming back. The food was great. The service was wonderful. If you go there, ask for Phillip. He is a very sweet guy. I will be coming back more to see him and eat here at this restaurant.”

“Myself and some friends are on a cross country trip and ended up being stuck in this little town for part of an afternoon and went to pick up lunch at the closest place. We all agree that our burgers were in the top 5 burgers we’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing. The owner was working the window and was super friendly and even gave us a couple pies as is their tradition for a first time visitor. I hope to find an excuse to one day venture the 1759 miles from my house to Bowie, Texas, just to have one of these burgers again.”

“This place is awesome. The burgers are the best. Staff is awesome as well. It is worth the drive for a burger, pizza, or catfish dinner. You will love this place. They are restocking the store area and bringing in more shelf space to hold more products. Come check it out.”

“We had Boom daddys for supper tonight! We got the burger baskets and they were 10 out 10! We also tried the queso tonight to dip our tots in and it was delicious! They always get our order right and my favorite part is the surprise rewards we get at check out every now and then! Just had the husband go back to get dessert! Thank you Boom Daddys!”

“Great Food with a small town environment”

“Disappointed in our to go order we picked up today. Ordered kids cheeseburger and 2 onion strings appetizers which was $25 and some change. Get order home and opened the 2 onion strings only to find that there was the smallest portion of onion strings in each order for an appetizer. These are supposed to be appetizers and there wasn't even enough for a side. Was charged basically $18 for these.Called and talked to Mia who was helpful and said she would contact the manager. I took a picture of order as soon as we opened. Called back to be informed that if we brought the food back in would be the only way to receive a refund despite having a picture. We live 20 minutes from The Rack so not just a quick trip back. Over charged and shorted on order but I should bring it back. Don't think we will order from here again.”

“Great place located downtown of bowie. We come here with our grandchildren and the staff are really great with our young kiddos. My opinion its the best pizza in town and really big portioned pastas we always have leftovers. The kids are obsessed with their Nutella pizza so we make sure to get one everytime we come. They play great music as well. I highly recommend trying this place you won't be disappointed.”

“Helpful staff. Yesterday (1-28-24) my husband was at the Sonic Bowie location. His vehicle wouldn’t start…. a male staff person noticed and offered to help ‘jumpstart’ his vehicle. (It was around noon and we think his name was Josh). Kiddos to Josh!”
