“Charming Restaurant in an old railcar! Decor is amazing!More importantly everywhere I looked there was a smiling team member clearly loving what they do!I had the Chicken salad sandwich and was not disappointed! It was delicous! Jalepeo Bacon rocked also!Bravo worth the trip from Coleman Tx!“
“I had the small ribeye. Ordered the steak medium rare. It Wes a bit closer to medium. It had flavor, just not as much as I prefer. Not the best nor the worst that I have had.My father- in- law had the fish. It was great, I tried a bite. My wife had the chicken fried steak. The meat was overly thin, and she said, "it was like leather. The sides and said bar were great!Great service!Wheelchair accessibility: Mother-in-law uses a scooter. She easily maneuvered through the dining area.“
“I come here every time I pass through Brownwood. It’s very meat centric, so if you’re not into meat, it may not be for you. My favorites are the pink potato salad, rolls, and their cobbler. This visit I bought the little cup of honey butter for $.89. It rocked! I could make a meal out of those three and forget the meat. The service is out of this world. They roll little trolleys through the dining room to refill your drinks, give you take out containers, napkins, and anything you want. Even whip cream for your cobbler.“
“they're always packed full, but service is fast, friendly and competent. the food is great and very affordableWheelchair accessibility: there's no step up to the entrance at all and the women's restroom is big enough for a wheelchair. the tables are really close together, but I'm sure the staff would arrange it, if someone needed them to if the customers didn't do it already, even. it's a very neighborly atmosphere.“
“Marina is the place to be if you want to enjoy beautiful sunsets on Lake Brownwood. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has fairy lights and there’s live music as well which made the experience great. And since we’re right next to the water, you’re able to walk down to the docks and be right near the water which is always fun.As for the food, my friend got the club sandwich and I ended up getting the burger. In terms of pricing, it is a little more on the expensive side. My friend’s club sandwich was great and the burger wasn’t bad but the bun was too thick in my opinion. Not to mention, the fries were unfortunately soggy and felt like they sat out for a while. I didn’t feel like the quality of the food matched the price but the customer service did. Our server was amazing and super friendly- she frequently checked up on our table and kept us updated on when the food was going to come out.On top of everything, there is also a bar inside as well as a pool table (I believe it was $10/hr). I ended up ordering a margarita and enjoyed the drink while playing pool.Overall, this is a great spot to wind down and enjoy a beautiful view.“
“Turkey & dressing is wonderful! Great chicken fried chicken! Hot rolls. Good service! Fairly priced$ :)Vegetarian options: Several vegan dishes to choose from, fresh salad's & vegetable's too.Parking: Large parking in rear will accommodate travels with rv's.“
“I visited on a slow day for the restaurant, but I could definitely see if there was a crowd how service could be drastically different. It was a busy day for the course as there were a good number of members around playing golf and doing other activities.+Beautiful views, even better if you're out on the deck of course+All the food I had was the best food I had during my trip to Brownwood. Professional taste and even the was very well presented at a reasonable cost.+Deviled Eggs, wow, is a must try. Tomato bisque, was as expected, but good. The Reuben was perfect. Buttery toasted rye bread tops off the expected combo of meat, kraut, and dressing sauce.+Service staff was very nice, but for as little of people, it could have been a little better. They also are dealing with bar order (drinks) as well.+Does not require membership to dine-A little out of the way, it is a country club so makes sense.-Small dinning area in the bar room. There is more room in the foyer area, so maybe they seat people there on other nights?“
“We stopped in Brownwood for a weekend and stumbled across this gem. The food is delicious! Service was great. Quaint dining room that has a classy flair, but casual is comfortable It's one of three Turtle "food boutiques." I don't know what they serve on the dinner menu, but the lunch options are not your typical sandwich deli items. The ham and Brie with fig was delicious!! The portion size was generous and if you're a fan of pickles, the pickle spear is a large quarter dill spear and it was so good! You can also enjoy their adjoining gelateria and wine bar.“
