“I recently returned to Texas from an overseas trip and used that as an excuse to celebrate with my friends over KBBQ! I've wanted to try Saemaeul since they first opened, and I'm so glad I finally stopped by. We came here on a busy Saturday evening when every table was filled and there was a party of 12 ahead of us on the list. Depsite this, we were seated after only ~10 minutes of waiting! We ordered the beef special combo plus an order of samgyeopsal, and boy was it a lot of food. I was really worried we would end up leaving unsatisfied because I'm used to AYCE bbq spots, but I was super wrong. The meat here was so delicious, I much prefer high quality plain meat to dip in sauce or salt myself versus sugary marinated meat, so I was super happy with how fresh everything tasted. The special comes with your choice of soup, we got the kimchi jjigae and it was gone within minutes. They are very generous with the side dishes, and not to worry, they will refill them free of charge despite not being AYCE. We had maybe five plates of lettuce because samgyeopsal and kimchi wrapped in lettuce is just the best thing ever. I enjoyed every single cut of meat we ate despite my typical basic order of bulgogi not being present. The combos are a great way to expand your palette a tiny bit if you're like me and tend to order the same things every time. They had multiple types of soju you can order, which was also appreciated. I got something new (Saero) and ended up really liking it! The servers here grill your meat for you, which was a bit of an adjustment because I'm used to doing it myself, but I ended up really enjoying leaving it up to the server. I felt like I actually got to fully engage in conversation at the table (designated meat grillers of their friend groups get what i mean hehe). I had a really really good time here, and while Samaeul isn't within my regular budget, this is a great place for birthdays and celebrations, though I don't know if I would bring a huge group here since the tables are all for 3-4 people max. This is my new favorite Korean BBQ spot and I will definitely come back!“
“Staff moves quickly but they don’t check up on you very much. I love the food. Skewers are fantastic, and they make veggies taste heavenly. My favorites are the lamb skewers and the hibachi cauliflower and hibachi broccoli.They have a house specialty spice mix that taste really good. They use a lot of cumin; normally dislike cumin and find it overpowering, but at Fat Ni there is something about the other spices that they mix it with that tastes amazing. I'm a huge fan of Korean BBQ and I tend to choose a restaurant based on the quality of meat, service, and ambiance. Before visiting this location, I've dined in their LA, NYC, Seoul, and Daegu branches.Our server, Hailey, was super friendly and welcoming. She gave us great recommendations and made us feel right at home. We tried the Prime Seasoned Short Rib, Duroc Marinated Pork Rib, and Duroc Pork Belly and it was all so delicious!Now, let's talk about the large intestine, or dehchang, which I'm not usually a fan of. But, this restaurant does it right! It was cooked perfectly and had a soft grill with some veggies on the side. Hailey even soaked up the fat using bread, which I thought was a brilliant idea.Lastly, we had the Chef's special dessert, which was a refreshing fruit dish with microgreens on top. We ordered dinner plates of brisket and sausage with various sides; fried okra, butter beans, baked beans, pinto beans, Cole slaw, and Mac ‘n Cheese. “Been here a few times now. Great service, great selection of meat, solid price for AYCE, good selection of banchan (that varies from visit to visit), cool robot delivery agent. Pleasant atmosphere. You have to choose between BBQ or Hot Pot, unlike their Lewisville location, but that's not an issue for us. The optional sides (soft tofu stew, steamed egg, rice, ramyeon, etc.) are all very tasty as well. We will keep coming back!“
“We come here quite frequently and have turned a lot of people on to Aris. We had a table of eight tonight and even though we had a couple of people who ware having their first experience with Aris, most of the people helping us ware really sweet and tried to help the best they could. We had a few people helping out our table, but the two I need to shout out are Adam and another lovely waitress who was smiling from ear to ear everytime she helped us (I unfortunately did not get her name). I believe she's newer as I have not seen her before and as I said, we frequent this place! Their service was amazing and the food was great! However, I will say that I am disappointed with the LA Galbi as it is nothing but fat and bones now and barely any meat. Also, the pork shoulder portions were a little smaller than usual and not as seasond. For the prices, I do wish the meat portion and quality were more consistent. Overall, everyone was satisfied and because of the beautiful smiling lady and the seriously hilarious Adam, we had an amazing night and we will definitely be back soon!Dietary restrictions: We have someone who is allergic to citrus and they did not have a flare up so that's a win! We also have someone who is Gluten Sensitive and they never have to worry about anything here.“
