The portion sizes are quite generous. The jokbal was very flavorful and the combination of the skin, meat, tendon were really good. They give you plentiful toppings, and it was just a delicious, bountiful meal.

Very good food! The sides were all delicious. We ordered so much, that we need to bring home leftovers. And it was still amazing re-heated

The first time I came here, there was a winter storm, and I had just driven back into Dallas on icy roads. My partner and I were cold and hungry, and even though most restaurants and stores were closed due to the freezing weather, Jang Choong Dong was still open. They were so kind to stay open, and the piping hot soups were amazing and warmed us up. We came back again to try the jokbal, bossam, and sundae. All of it was phenomenal. Admittedly, I am Taiwanese and not Korean so I’m not an expert, but I really enjoyed everything and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious meaty meals. I think it was a great value. There were enough leftovers for both of us to eat for lunch the next day. The restaurant inside is small but has very nice cozy vibes. They play kpop videos on the screen, but it’s not super loud which I appreciate. I brought my aunt to eat here as well, and she also really liked it and plans on bringing friends here. I hope they stay around for a long time. They’re a great addition to the neighborhood.

Food and atmosphere are great. Seems like they take a lot of pride in the quality of their dishes. The Galbi was my favorite. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. In some other popular restaurants it comes out burnt half the time. There are quite a few other authentic Korean dishes on the menu as well. The service was attentive and prompt despite it being busy. Will come here again.

I bought 3 pig's trotters and they give me one meal? I was dumbfounded and asked if it was right to give one rice when 3 pig's trotters are enough for 9 people, and they said that's how it was supposed to be served, but they looked very upset and spoke in a very upset tone. Is it common sense to order one serving of rice if you order for 9 people? I hope those who submit will take note.

A quaint, cozy place with very homely vibes, serving traditional Korean foods. We ordered the Galbi Jungshik or the Korean Beef Ribs Meal, and it was so heartwarming and comforting, especially with the cold, cloudy weather on that day. Absolutely delicious! And a very nice and sweet staff. Highly recommend! ?

Had the good meat in this Korean restaurant. The authenticity of the flavors transported me to Seoul. The bulgogi was tender, and my favorite kimchi had the perfect balance of spice. Everything was great and the first time we tried the blood sausage were great as well . The ambiance was delightful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine.. ?

Love it! ❤ The pork knuckle for $20 is very good, and the pork bone and potato soup for $14 is also very good! Their store is not very salty, so those with heavy tastes can bring some salt, but I think it’s very good.

Came in over an hour before they closed and was denied service because they stopped serving 30 mins ago? You stopped serving an hour and 30 minutes before closing? Lmao ok. Terrible service.Edit: I don't think you understand. I said an hour and 30 minutes was what we were told the kitchen closed. Not 30 minutes. Not an hour. An hour and 30 minutes.

During my recent visit to this restaurant, I decided to order the Soondae. Upon tasting it, I was instantly convinced that it ranks among the top dishes offered here. The flavors were rich and the dish was impeccably prepared. If you're planning to dine here or are on the lookout for recommendations, I would strongly urge you to consider the Soondae. It's a culinary experience that shouldn't be missed at this restaurant.
