$8.99 for Shrimp n Grits…..I usually stay away when it’s that cheap but when I tell you it’s probably the best Shrimp N Grits in Dallas. Perfect blend of salty and spice with the blacken shrimp(I’d have preferred fried catfish or blackened) seasoned to perfection! I’d easily have paid $15 to $20 for this, kudos to the chef! They have an incredible New Brunch Menu too, so y’all come check out this Black Owned HBCU establishment!!

I’ve been here several times for years since the place opened. I will never be back. I had to pay for two meals. As I ordered online and explained that it’s confusing to have a Poboy named fried chicken 3 pieces. The lady behind the counter looked at me and was rude. She didn’t said anything just typed in the fried chicken basket to have me pay another $13. Good thing I have another $13 to eat back to back because she didn’t say anything else. Then her and the man behind the counter began to talk and laugh and point at my son and I. Then to top it off it took the basket 30 minutes to come out after I had just sat for 30 minutes. Sitting in there with my 6 year old starving had never once happen to me. But I won’t be back. If your hungry I’d pass takes to long and the employees are rude.

I honestly think the food was good. Very fresh and good sized portions. I didn't know they were going to have a live DJ, but for someone who is hearing impaired, I struggled hearing my friends while eating, or the staff working. It was just too loud.

We order fish and chicken. I enjoyed the fish the chicken could have used more seasoning but over all it was all fresh. The atmosphere was chill however be prepared to wait 3-5 business days for your food.

Took my wife for a quick lunch date who is 5 months pregnant and very excited for fried fish. We ordered the catfish and chicken wing basket, the chicken wings were salty and the fish was NOT real catfish. This was our first time here and I must admit that I am very disappointed especially because we paid almost $40. They also have signs informing guest that due to market price, the seafood is increasing effective 9/22. I would definitely expect real catfish if I’m paying increased prices. Eat here at your own risk.

For a Friday peak night. The place was dead. The music was so loud you can't have a conversation with your party. The DJ's Mic had too much bass and unable to understand what he's saying. I believed a 2 star is appropriate for my experience for this establishment.

I purchased 2 16oz daiquiris " Suicide" and that's all I remembered. The cashier had a name that is soft- light textured young lady which was very pleasant of the questions I asked about tastings. The atmosphere was Grown- Football Sunday for the guys with the latest music playing. And the menu fits a brunching, sipping and girls outing taste buds. I will return, but with the gworls to enjoy also. ? 10/10

Whenever I'm in town, I try to visit this spot. ALWAYS good and on point! Daquiris are delicious, wide variety of flavors. Food is hot and fresh. Friend shrimp is lightly breaded. My personal favorite! Atmosphere is cool. They do specials and on Sundays they offer dominoes and spades night.

This isn’t always something a business can control and falls on the owner.I ordered catfish & asked the young lady if it was REAL catfish.I was told “Yes”, yeah ok..You can be the judge of that by my pics. I won’t order it again and will stick to the wings. If you do order fish - HEADS UP - It’s 1 fillet cut in half smh.
