This has become our favorite sushi place over the past year. The owner is super sweet and is always welcoming to us and her customers. The Red Diamond roll, fried oysters and Takowasa are simply amazing. If you get a chance, please drop by because you won't be disappointed.

Came here for lunch with a friend. We both got lunch special of choosing 2 items of their lunch menu to make a bento box. The one item that stands out was their chief special sushi. The fish literally melt in your mouth delicious. I also order the okonomiyaki. I didn't find it in the menu but they have it if you ask for it. Its a very traditional okonomiyaki base on my experience traveling to Japan. Overall great food for the price.

Small local and Japanese owned restaurant. It's very clean inside. They only give u one menu each table which is sort of annoying and inconvenient. Sushi is handled very well, never tastes fishy like other smaller sushi spots in Cedar Park. We really like this hidden gem in CP. I'm so thankful for my friend who showed me this spot last year.

Have I never stopped to tell you about Daichi?! It's a quaint neighborhood spot with the nicest people serving you. So glad they survived the pandemic. The sushi is delicious and they have delicious specials. I like to order an assortment of nigiri and a miso soup. Wash it all down with an Asahi Black Japanese beer.

Tbh I'd say it's a 4 star by California and Hawaii standard but in Austin this is definitely 5 star. At least it's authentic Japanese. Let's preserve this place.

I had a craving for sushi and stopped in for a late lunch at Daichi with a friend. It's one of the few places that are open between lunch and dinner hours. The restaurant itself isn't huge but the owners are very friendly. We decided on the hamachi as an appetizer which was very flavorful and delicious. We split 4 special rolls. I don't remember which rolls we ordered but 3 of them were delicious! All very flavorful. The only one I was a bit disappointed about was the one that was deep fried (the one with shrimp tempura). I will admit it was a misunderstanding in my part as the owner said it was fried (I thought she mean the shrimp tempura was fried). My fav one is the one with the pepper on top. It was SPICY and I loved every burning tingly sensation with every bite!

We came here looking for ramen - she very politely explained they no longer make it because of limited kitchen space. I was pouty about it, but we decided to stay because we were already eating late and we were starving. We each got a lunch bento box, and I was blown away. My non-fish-liking husband got the broiled mackerel, and loved it - he gave me a bite and it was savory and buttery delicious. He also got the ginger bread chicken - never heard of it before, so good. My sashimi and tempura shrimp was delish. There are quite a few other options here as well, we're definitely coming back. You should try this place!

Finally, a place where I can get authentic Japanese lunch! This little place is such a great find. Japanese owned and service was fast and friendly. I've only come here for weekday lunches and they have a great selection! You can get 2-item bento boxes ranging from $10-13, sushi/sashimi combos, udon noodle soup, or combo rolls. Portions were generous and quality of the sushi was pretty decent for the price! Will be back to try the dinner selection and specials.

This place is awesome. Great hidden gem. More authentic Japanese style sushi, high quality, all around great spot.

Who would imagine that a nondescript strip mall hides the best no fuss Japanese food in Austin? Everything - from appetizers to tea - was impeccable in quality and presentation, and our waitress was very kind and caring.

After spending all Saturday night attending my son due to food poisoning. I decided to give Daichi a call as common courtesy that something my son ingested during dinner was expired. To my surprise, the owner was really rude. Disregarded my concerns and was ZERO apologetic. Mind you I wasn't even asking for a refund just common courtesy call. She said it was impossible and my son must have eaten something else before going to dinner. Yeah tell that to a mom who spent all night caring for her son and cleaning Japanese Lasa Roll all over his bedroom. I am so disappointed. We usually love this place and have never had any issues. An apology and professionalism is the least expected in a situation like this, specially when food poisoning can get really bad real quick for a kid. She didn't even asked how my son was doing. Needless to say we will never go back.

As good as it gets around here. Japanese owned. Very attentive service. Water is refilled constantly, and the woman is very nice. The sushi combo c is a great deal at around $16 , you get 7 nice pieces of fish. Wonderful house salad which I cannot recommend enough. The dressing is ginger carrot and boy is it amazing. They even do tempura right. This is the kind of place you feel lucky to live close to. Even if this were in California it would still be a must visit for a neighborhood sushi place.
