“The food was delicious! That was A1, now I’m sure it was a misunderstanding, but I tipped 2$ on my receipt and then whenever it came out on my bank statement it said that I tipped 5$. It’s not a lot of money, but I don’t want to imagine that this is happening to multiple customers. If anyone else is experiencing this just be wary. After reading a couple other reviews it seems that this is an ongoing problem and has happened before.Edit: owner did respond, offered the money back, like I said a misunderstanding, we are all human“

“Food was very good. The Flan desert was tied with the very best of 5 Mexican Restaurants we have tried. Beer prices was very fairly priced. The only negative, no cold glass or mug, with the bottle beer. First Mexican restaurant I have found that does not offer. So that is a negative. I wanted to try the margarita, prices are way to expensive. When drink prices, get close in price, to a nice plate of food, does not make sense. You can get a great quart of margarita mix, including Tequila, for $9 at Costco. Our server lady was very good, high marks to her.“

Our hostess was so awesome and kind and got us seated outside at a table. The atmosphere was festive with a brightly decorated patio. Our server was attentive and kept our chips and salsa/guac topped off as we slipped into our margarita haze. The margaritas at this place are top notch, the GOAT. Don’t sleep on Texican cafe for patio margs and appetizers.“

Jose, my waiter, was very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly with lots of good advice on other dishes to try at the restaurant. One suggestion would be that the young man who brought me to my table could have been a little more friendly. I wasn't quite sure where I was going or where I was supposed to sit. “As you can tell from the pictures that I've posted, the food looks amazing and the clerk was sweet, so I'll start with the food and I'll come back to the clerk. so starting off with the food I think I was really hungry and I want it tacos that day and this was the first place that popped up as a suggestion for birria tacos and I just pulled the trigger and went. to my luck it was the perfect place. It wasn't too far away and it was quick. I got my food and like five minutes there was no line. There was no one there and I'm may have picked the perfect time to go around 2 o'clock on a Saturday I believe. The tacos were amazing. I don't even think it took me five minutes to finish those tacos probably some of the best birria tacos I've had, very delicious!! This food truck was located with maybe two other food trucks in a small area and a up-and-coming developed area not too far away from the highway. The service I received from this clerk was polite, calm, reassuring, and extremely sweet; loved her for that. She even left a little affirmation on the top of my to go plate. I will definitely be going back to get more of these tacos and trying out other items on the menu! I promise you guys if you go out there, you won't be disappointed and you'll love the food!“

La Texanita Mexican • $
12205 W Parmer Ln, Cedar Park

“In all honesty, one of the best Mexican food you can get in Austin (I guess technically Cedar Park). My wife is latina so our Mexican food bar is pretty high. Everything we've tried at this place just absolutely SHINED.For breakfast tacos, the staple bacon egg and potato is tried and true. Also can't go wrong with their chrizo and eggs. My wife makes her own chorizo so if she likes it from here that's a great compliment. My "go to" are the barbacoa and the chicharrón tacos (also available for lunch). Just beware that both are VERY juicy and could soak through the paper bag while in transport. The chicken flauta plate is amazing as well. Best flautas I've had. Comes with rice and beans, both of which were up to our standards.Highly highly recommend if you're in the area.“

“These tamales were top notch. Tried the grandma's tamales and Edgar's tamales and both were wonderful. The pork filling was very flavorful with a slight spice to it, just enough to warm you up. The jalapeno and cheese were very good, also not overboard spicy. And the masa had a great texture and flavor. Juana went above and beyond to deliver my order after hours and was very nice to deal with. All in all, a great experience.“

Tacos Maná #2 Mexican • $

“Been going here at least once a week since I found them. Excellent food and friendly staff, large menu for a place in a gas station, walking distance for me. I just wish they were open for dinner, but I understand that a gas station isn't where most people would order dinner from - they have a food truck for that. The breakfast tacos are fresh and usually made to order - typical offerings for breakfast tacos, $2.50/ea. The star is the lunch tacos though - they're PACKED with meat, and on homemade corn tortillas.Inside the Valero gas station.“

“excellent fast food. SOMETIMEs I feel like the breast meat is a tad overcooked - I mean competing with HEB rotisserie in a way, it's hard to not notice - but all in all it's great, and only $14 total for a half chicken meal with great flavor - and the salsas are good too. The chickens are not big ole chickens, but it's more than enough meat for one or two people, depending on how hungry you are. And you can make tacos from it and be plenty full. I go and make a salad with it“

We waited in line to order for maybe 3-5 minutes and our food was ready in another 5-10 minutes tops! With two drinks and the taco plate special it was $22. The tacos were pretty good too! The plate came with 3 beef tacos, rice and refried beans. They have a salsa bar if you need extra sauce or order chips. We will definitely be back for the Tuesday special again!!“

“The tacos are somewhat basic, but personally that’s what I wanted - there’s plenty of other taco shops doing fancy combos of unexpected ingredients, these are just plump tacos. However, the pirata does have cheese grilled onto the tortilla which was great. They are a bit pricey, but you do get a lot of meat in each taco. It’s not quite enough to only get one, but I was quite full after two tacos.Owner seemed friendly and service was quick.“

“La Cocinita is a hole in the wall located inside a small convenience store on Hwy 183. Then there are only two tables to sit at! But the food is great! Two ladies, working their hearts out, make some very delicious Mexican food. I did not hear them speak one word of English. And while takeout may be your best option, I recommend sitting there, when you are able, and being served on their colorful clay pottery plates and bowls; they seem to bring out the flavors of the food even more. Their hot sauce is very flavorful and cleared my sinuses out. And not all items on their wall menu are available. One of us wanted enchiladas (regular order of four!) but were not available. So we had Menudo (which is some of the best I have tasted around and available only on weekends) a gordita de chorizo, and a taco de puerco con salsa verde. Cliente we saw were all Spanish speaking customers. They knew where to go for some down home cooking.“
