“Been years since we visited. I recommend making reservations as they can be crowded (especially on weekends). Food selection was nice and the service from Lindsey was excellent. We had the club with sweet potato tots and their equivalent of the French Dip with onion rings. All (except the tots) were excellent...the tots were OK as they they were a bit soggy and warm...not crisp and hot. The old store is also fun to walk through.Parking is plentiful, they do not give a mil discount.“

“The beach bum theming, extensive landscaping, outdoor dance floor, and palapas at this bar and restaurant will make you feel like you are in the tropics. The drinks are well poured and the food is tasty. It is very typical bar type foods, but done well. If you are in the area and want to escape on an island vacation for a couple of hours, put on your Hawaiian shirt and pirate hat and spend the afternoon laying in a chair knocking back rum punches here.Parking: Parking is lined up in front of the restaurant and a little more on the sideKid-friendliness: There are no playgrounds or anything like that, but there is an extensive landscaped yard where kids can explore.“

“So glad we found Bisto 1011. The food and service both were excellent. The value was great. We could have a conversation. The view was spectacular. I wish we had found it sooner. We live 4 hours away but will be back the next time we're in Kerrville. Make a reservation and go!“

“Can’t say I’ve been anywhere better that’s for sure, food was great and they don’t even have a desert menu they present it to you in a tray for you to choose from which is was great. Oh and our waiter, pronominal to say the least. I wish I could remember his name“

“Three words -crispy hash browns!!!I enjoyed my breakfast here. The Hill Country omelette was perfection, almost like a crepe stuffed with veggie goodness. The coffee was quick to arrive and refilled/touched up often. I like strong coffee so i found it on the weak side. But the service was efficient cheerful friendly. Great supporting a mom and pop local place. The grits were an added side as i wanted to try them. Alas they were cold and lumpy, kinda like paste. The biscuits were soft, a tad underbaked, but then again I like a crisper top crusted biscuit. However, that omelette and the hash browns were worth the visit. Open at 6 am...really made the rainy day start off warm and happy.“

“Enjoyed lunch at the new (to us) location - The Meyer Hotel. The Husband had what he declared the best Reuben of his life and I had the best pulled pork of my life (and we’ve had many, many such sandwiches). Friendly service, clean place with great views.“

“We had a wonderful time of eclipse viewing and fantastic food! I had baked catfish with sweet potato fries and fried okra. All the entrees came with coleslaw and either hush puppies or rolls. The fish was cooked perfectly as were all the sides. After the eclipse we returned for dessert. BlackBerry, Apple, and Caramel Bread Pudding. Once again they were made from fresh fruits (not canned) and all came with a generous portion of vanilla ice cream. This restaurant surprised us! Thanks again to the hospitality of the owners.“

“The staff was very helpful with my food sensitivities that I have and did everything they could to help me find something on the menu that I could enjoy. The rest of the party that I went with enjoyed their meals as well. It is a great place to enjoy conversation with friends. Unfortunately I was not able to try any of their drinks due to my allergies, but I did have one of the sodas there live root beer was delicious unfortunately I was not able to try any of their wines due to my allergies, but I did have one of the sodas the live root beer was delicious.“

“Absolutely awesome! Staff are wonderful, helpful and enthusiastic with customers. The elk Burger is absolutely delicious and I love that it's a vegan based Mayo as my allergies mean it's not often I go somewhere and can just eat what they serve as is. LOL the kale salad with the veggies and pine nuts with so flavorful and very fresh ! definitely will be back“

“Excellent. Great, delicious ribs and brisket. Especially the ribs. Ordered that along with the potato salad and coleslaw for my family and were were fully satisfied. We drove cross-state for the solar eclipse, and will eat here if ever in town again. Service was also excellent. Greeted and served very nicely. This place should be full every day. Oh and free ice cream with the meals?! Who can beat that?- Especially with kids.“

We also had the cheeseburger, which was a good straight-forward burger with crispy regular cut fries. And great friendly customer service from the moment we walked in the door! “Stopped in because they had a patio and o had my little chihuahua with me. The server was so attentive and sweet to my little dog! She was one of the best servers that I have ever had! She checked on us consistently and made sure that we didn't feel forgotten. The food was worth it. I recommend that you stop and get the pozole and the orange flan. Going to make sure this is a for sure stop when I come back.“
