Got 2 chopped brisket sandwiches to eat while on the go. Tender, but not much smoky flavor. Recommend asking for sauce "on the side." Was a bit too much sauce for my liking.
I drive all over Texas for work purposes and I always enjoy trying restaurants in small towns along the way. I eat a lot bbq and my favorite tends to be smoked ham. However the gentleman that greeted me informed me that they only had brisket although he used the words "a fine brisket." Let me tell you folks...the man was humble and that was an understatement. The pitmaster and owner came out to talk to us, awfully nice fellow. I Had the brisket and sausage and potato salad. Wasn't mad, the brisket was moist, and flavorful. I didn't need sauce. Sausage was smoked just right. I had a little difficultly understanding where to go to order, and the drink situation.
