Better than HEB, yeah HEB is cool but was a nightmare in my opinion (Walmart of grocery). Brookshire Bros store was very pleasant to shop in, didn't feel like I was lost while looking for what I needed, friendly staff, great selection, clean and organized and it's way less busy than Kroger or HEB. If I lived in college station, I would regularly make the extra drive to this place
Two things really make this place stand out. First, my wife and I eat here at least once a week, and often twice. Their offerings include a salad bar (although you have to look for it!), and a daily lunch special that includes a protein, two sides, a roll and a drink for under $7. What a deal.The second thing that's outstanding here is the meat counter. Beautiful store. Very clean and nicely organized. Great food service inside. I gave it fours instead of five only due to the relatively high prices vs other grocery stores in the area. It is worthwhile to visit & shop. Ample parking.
