This place was a real shock - a throw back to the blue plate special when it was really special. The downtown cafe everywhere once offered tea or coffee with lunch and a simple dessert for one price. If you wanted soda they were per-each. A hidden treasure. Today we stopped in and had the daily special. A chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, salad, a big glass of tea and peach cobbler for only $5.50 with a free cup of Country Pickin's famous beans! No complaints here! Where else can you get a great meal for this cheap? Seriously!
