About The Post at Lamar Park

The Post at Lamar Park offers an industrial-chic atmosphere, but the service and ambiance can be inconsistent. Some staff members, such as servers, are friendly, while others at the door may seem unfriendly. The food is decent, with highlights like the burger with sweet potato fries and the lox bagel, but the quality can vary. Recent experiences include a burger where the meat was a thin frozen patty cooked in a crowded wet pan, and fried chicken tenders with breading that fell off easily. Drinks are not very strong, and the sports bar does not play Texas sports on the TV screens.

The restaurant has a calm, serene vibe at times, with good music and a clean, feel-good environment, making it a nice place to relax. Brunch service can be slow, but overall, the experience is more than expected for the price, with generous portions that are enough to share and take home. The atmosphere can feel a bit mixed, with some areas seeming a little empty and others busy, possibly due to seasonal decor changes or preparations for holidays.

Many customers appreciate the friendly staff and the nice environment, describing it as a place with a relaxed beach resort vibe or a casual brunch spot. Dishes like the Breakfast Pizza and Croquette Madam are recommended, and some plan to try other items like Cheeky Bennies next time. The restaurant’s art on the walls adds a nice touch, and despite some variability in decor, it remains a popular spot for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The male bartender with the big brown eyes, tattoos, and witty personality is 🤌🏼drinks are solid 10/10 and food is always delicious.

Great mocktails and great service. Fresca power, small batch Shirley and the carnitas. My fave was the Shirley

Excellent service! Great food! Bar selection and specialty drinks are endless. The giant pretzel with poblano beer cheese dip is magical. Highly recommend this neighborhood hangout.
