Reviews for The Post at Lamar Park

We were in town visiting friends and on our last day before heading to the airport, we decided to stop by The Post at Lamar Park for one final hurrah. It was Sunday, so of course we had to brunch. Our server was pretty nice, cracked jokes, and seemed to be very honest when we asked what he recommended. He pointed out a few items that he "wouldn't let us" order - I guess they were that bad? He also pointed out a few of his favorites and some of the most popular items. We full review

Nice atmosphere, pretty good service. (Always a plus) came for the drinks, "Old Fashion" spectacular. Food was okay, expected more from the truffle fries and fire cracker shrimp. Pork belly was very flavorful, that sauce would be great on homemade biscuits. It was really cold, make sure you have a jacket or sleeves.

I saw this place in the Texas Bucket list. We got the Heizenberg burger and firecraker shrimp and it didn't disappoint. It was a Millennial atmosphere and most of the guys had beards or man buns. But the food was awesome. I didnt want the burger to end. I gave it 4 stars because the tea and cokes had an odd taste and my kids didn't like them. Also, because the bill was $85 for 4 people with one beer.
