Good but be prepared for $20+ per person, even at lunch. The pricing makes it a little harder to swallow.

The best bbq around! Brisket just falls apart, and the gobbler is delicious.

This BBQ joint is attached to a gas station on Hwy 377 in Cresson, TX. I ordered the two meat plate, sliced brisket and ribs, with sides of potato salad and cornbead casserole. The ribs had a nice glaze and weren’t too chewy. The flavor was good, but nothing special. The sliced brisket had a deliciously peppery & salty bark, but unfortunately the meat was very dry and made for a disappointing experience. The scoop potato salad was about the size of a tennis ball and flavorless. I added plenty of salt, pepper, and even BBQ sauce to make it edible. It looked like they put their potato salad in a blender and then use an ice scream scoop to dish it out.I couldn’t figure out what the cornbread casserole was supposed to be. When I first got it, it was swimming in a milky white sauce. I stirred it all together before trying it. One bite was all I could stand.I don’t blame thIS BBQ joint, I blame myself. With so many GREAT BBQ joints in Texas and the DFW area, I have no idea why I stopped at a gas station and expected great BBQ.Parking: You’re parking in a gas station lot.

The food and staff were amazing! It was the only home cooked meal I had on our time away from home. The staff were so friendly, lots of tables (even some outside upstairs if you want to sit out). It’s a simple restaurant seating, would be easy to have a party or large group upstairs (think it’s only stairs, not sure but also a washroom located up there). Some tables are on the main floor which would be wheel chair accessible. It’s not fancy. It smells like 100% bbq the moment you walk in, which is amazing and how you tell it’s all fresh. Loved it.I was skeptical since it’s behind the gas station but it’s amazing. Will go back. The hours and prices are the reason for the 3 stars and not 5. It’s a bbq house yet only open till 2 pm and only on some days. This is the kind of meal I’d more want for a dinner but not an option I guess unless you planned ahead and did take out. I’d love to see evening hours. Will try to stop by next time we are in the area as it’s absolutely worth the trip in.We got the 3 meat platter for one person and shared it between 2 of us as it was lunch time (the only time they are open). Our cost with a $5 tip ended up being $50.17 Canadian for 2 drinks and one meal. It was overpriced for what we got for sure.

I tried to go there yesterday to eat lunch but the parking lot was full and so is the restaurant. I went by this afternoon to get enough beef and a couple sides so my wife and I could have a sandwich for dinner and we didn’t have to cook. They were almost sold out of everything at 1:30 . The owner heard what I was saying and ended up chopping me up the little bit of brisket that they had left and I got turkey and beans. Oh my God if you don’t try this place you are missing out on the best barbecue around here! By the way, there was so much food, that I will be eating that on the road on my way to Austin tomorrow in a burrito!???Parking: There’s plenty!

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical because it is located in a gas station but this is some of the best BBQ I have ever had here in Texas or anywhere else. Also, the staff was welcoming and very attentive. I ordered the Chop Sandwich and Fries. It was $11 for the sandwich but it was loaded with meat and on a high quality bun. Worth every penny. My only regret was not tipping the staff more as I was on the road and took my meal to go.Highly recommend

I sat at the window for 8 minutes she looked out the window twice the finally came to the window to ask what in wanted. I got the ribs they were pretty and tender and that’s where it stopped there was no smoke no notable seasoning on them. Why people are raving about their ribs is beyond me.

While the seasoning was good, it was very light. Brisket was highly greasy. Great fried okra
