We started with good chips and salsa, a solid sign at a gourtmet Mexican establishment. Rojo y Verde, if you know what I'm saying. I was slightly thrown off by the slab of butter that was accompanying the salsas, but I digress. I order a miller lite, perhaps due to my neighbor at the table doing so before me and the lack of a drink menu. Absolutely wonderful gourmet Mexican food. Our group had red snapper cooked in butter and garlic with mushrooms, Mayan pork, shrimp skewers, guacamole and chips, Superb service (even accommodated a last minute request to celebrate our friend's birthday and brought out a slice of delicious chocolate birthday cake and whipped cream with a candle. They also sang happy birthday!) Very classy and warm staff. Valet parking. Excellent from start to finish.

We have been going to Javier's for about 2 decades now and it is hands down still my favorite restaurant. The service is great, the ambiance is amazing and the food is even better. Their steak is always consistent, I've never been disappointed. This isn't the place to order basic Tex-Mex (fajitas, nachos, you get the point), it's a place to get unique entrees (they have lots to choose from on their menu).
