Hands down the absolute best chicken friend steak I've ever tried. The portion size was more than enough. I ate on it for 2 days. The bread Pudding was too die for. It put me in mind of a good hot homemade honeybuncake. I hate we live 2 hrs away, I would have came back the next day for second.. lol The only reason I didn't give a full 5, I didn't care of the deviled eggs. They weren't really my liking. This is a great place for drinks and the appetizers are really tasty. I had the ribeye chicken fried steak and the portion was excellent but the steak itself lacked seasoning, the breading lacked seasoning as well, the mashed potatoes needed a little more butter and maybe some garlic but they where nice and fluffy.

Republic appears to be the local pub for all the single people in North Dallas. Lots of folks sitting in bar and lounge area. That's were the restaurant is the loudest. Sit in the back if you want quieter dining so you can talk to your dinner partner. Dinner partner had perfectly prepared ribeye streak. My sea bass was on think side (more like flounder). Not overly seasoned which is hard to find these days. Service was well delivered.
