The service was very slow last night. We didn't get our food for an hour after we sat down. We were almost finished with our bottle of wine by the time our food got to our table. The waitress was very good and apologetic.

i am against superlatives. But here goes. The new chef has no ego. He has brought back the famous Dean Fearing tortilla soup. The crab cakes - maybe 2% bread. They were excellent, as was the tortilla soup. My duck? Just right. My wife's fish - also right. Desserts - crème brûlée and chocolate sheet cake. Flawless. The chef's surprise? Small tacos Crème fraiche, asparagus and avocado. Very good. The champagne - flat and immediately corrected. Thank you. The one thing we do not like? Too much noise from the . kitchen area from clanging silverware Chef Charles visited the table. A very humble man. He does the Mansion well. . Thanks.

The food was very mediocre with very small servings I had been going to the Mansion regularly 20 years ago. It was sooo disappointing. It used to be such a glamorous ( excellent food) place to go now all the new restaurants are much better

It is an elegant, comfortable, restaurant with attentive friendly staff. The food quality is always excellent. The expense level is very high, and probably overpriced. But it's an excellent special occasion alternative and a fine dining experience.

Overall the Mansion does not disappoint. We celebrated our 25th anniversary Saturday night. Service and Foor were excellent. Our table was near the entry and there was a lot of noise coming from the bar area but it is to be expected.

Outstanding! Service was impeccable and the food was perfectly executed. We got the 7 course tasting menu and wine pairings. Can't go wrong with truffles, but the standout dish was the halibut. Loved the sunchoke!

Great food and service. Only challenge was getting into the valet area as there was an event going on as well. On those nights suggest added valet's. Also the bar was jammed but that was because of the very good music and it's pretty small area. Neither are negatives though just a Friday night at the Mansion.

Another wonderful experience! Excellent food, friendly and attentive waitstaff and servers, and a timelessly beautiful and elegant setting! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Outstanding service! I do wish the red meat came with some sort of potato rather than just an onion garnish, and the chocolate cake was a little gritty for my taste. But everything was very high quality. The tuna crudo was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Ever! Absolutely amazing.

Great food. Excellent wait staff. The one downside was that the bar music and people were so noisy you could not hear anything. Could not hear the explanations of the food or wine from the staff. For such a fine dining establishment the ambience needs to not be a bar scene.

This was a real dining experience...we tried the Chefs tasting menu and it was exceptional. Hugo, our waiter was exceptional as well. Cant beat the ambiance and unrushed atmosphere as well.

Way over rated snd also overpriced! Ok our desert was very good BUT my Gnocchi was a terrible mix of Arugula, Nuts and various leftovers. The Jumbo asparagus was actually medium size and smothered in an obnoxious white sauce. Evidently this Chef couldn't cut in Chicago, LA or NYC. Ok the Sassacia Super Tuscan wine was superb only because the Chef didnt touch it - haha. Had a great time in the bar after w live music but regretted spending $450 in the dining room. Go to Al Damana's or Capital Grill for better food

Went here for my husbands birthday and it was phenomenal. Our server was great, vibes were great, pace of dining was perfect and restaurant was quiet. Only thing was that we were not offered any birthday celebration dessert and a manager did not visit our table. Otherwise it was great.

Two of my friends and I shared a delicious brunch for our 46th birthdays. The food and service was phenomenal, we were seated in a room with the view of the courtyard, and all the natural light was just lovely. The waitress surprised us with individualized chocolate covered strawberries and a candle for each of us to blow out. We loved celebrating here and can't wait to go back!

Everything was great. Food, service and ambiance. I had two drinks with friends. My friends had three drinks per person, and the total bill was close to $600 with food. The manager kicked us out after we paid once I asked for a third drink. Lost our table and time. No service and total "bitch". That's a strong word but it's the right one.
