“In a small, converted home on Center Street in DP is one of the best Italian food restaurants I've been to (and that includes Italy, other European countries and even NY). The owner always greets with a smile and the staff are onboard with the mission. The cost is affordable and this mainstay of our community will be here as long as they continue their great service and wonderful food as they always have. I recommend the lasagne and any dish made with the lemon cream sauce (so good!). I'll be back soon, and often.“

“I was feeling like a Cuban sandwich for today's lunch, so I sent the hubby out to grab one. I also asked to try a mini Ropa Vieja sandwich as well because the description had me curious. Both sandwiches were delicious! They came with a side of some sort of hot sauces. One was a green (tomatillo?) type and the other was a fiery orange (habanero?) Even though I could only handle a few drops of the latter, both sauces complimented the sandwiches well. And the regular sized Cuban was huge! I regretted not ordering a second mini instead, as it was actually also larger than I'd expected. My mother ordered the same Cuban sandwich but also a side of the plantains. The description said they were fried, and I saw a misleading image online from a guest that lead me to believe they were breaded. However, the ones we were given had no breading (which I didn't mind, honestly) and were coated in what I think was cinnamon and sugar. It was a lovely little dessert. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I will return for more food in the future!“

“I’ve eaten here 3 times within the last 2 weeks and each time has been spot on. Everything is made fresh and the service is always amazing. The smoked wings are so good! Tasted like a mixture between Buffalo and bbq sauce. Wally good smoky flavor. The ribs were good as well, the brisket was juicy and the Turkey was so tender and juicy! The cornbread is delicious, the creamed corn is delicious, even the banana pudding the top it off was really good. Definitely a hidden gem in deer park!“

“I went here cause a local recommended it and figured it would be the best place to try crawfish for the first time. The crawfish was amazing and you get to choose the spice level as well, it took me forever to eat the crawfish as I have never ate them before. Fortunately, I had someone with me that was amazing at handling crawfish. lol so he de shelled most of them for me ☺️“

“May be a tad pricey but it's delicious, the strawberry and the peach sweet tea were so good and not too sweet for our taste. They had an option to put tapioca in our teas which my mom loved. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were good. Me and my mom got the steak pho and couldn't finish our bowls we were so full and satisfied. They had Sriracha, chilli oil, and soy sauce on every table which I appreciate.“

“Char-Burger is the epitome of the classic Mom and Pop local diner. It has been a Deer Park institutiofor decades. Everything they have is excellent. While I grew up on their cheeseburgers, I must say the gyro has been my favorite for a long time now. Almost forgot about the milk shake. If you get one, you will be hooked.“

“The food is OK for buffet. The waitress was excellent. The food options were OK. They didn't have the small sweet ribs that I like when going to a Chinese food restaurant. They didn't have alot of chicken and veggies options. They didn't have orange chicken. Their jalapeño chicken was lacking in veggies and in jalapeños. Their dessert options were good, the jello was good. They didn't have watermelon and my granddaughter was looking forward to that, as I was. The waitress was great, I can't say enough of her.I do recommend this place for buffet.They do have a hibachi grill and fresh sushi on site.Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loves this place, it has good food options for kids.“
