“I have lived in Thailand for a few years. I will say that this is the most authentic Thai place I've been to in the US outside of California. Tried the "Thai hot" level of spice in my panang curry. It's that eye watering, nose dripping kind of spice level so proceed with caution. The decor is also beautiful and cozy. No complaints about the service. The prices are very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

Expect long lines when you go to eat at brother's tacos. But it's only because their food is delicious!Parking: Parking is very limited and most people end up parking on the side of the street. “After seeing on television that the restaurant won a James Beard award, I put it on my list of places to go. The expectations were pretty high, and our party was not disappointed. The medium spice level was perfect...flavorful with a kick. Drunken Noodles, Krapow Beef, and the Meatball Appetizer were our favorites. This restaurant was an hour drive for us and did not disappoint. It was worth the trip, and we will be back. The only two criticisms would be that their front door is darkened, and from outside, does not look like an actual entrance. And the noise level was a little high, so our server had to repeat herself a few times, but she didn't seem to mind and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying ourselves“

“As one of Houston's older establishments, Stanton's City Bites managed to morph from what was once a convenience store to one of the city's beloved burger destinations. A lot has changed in the First World over the last half century, but Stanton's has remained one of the city's most popular businesses. For me, it's become one of my favorite places to enjoy an American classic and is a beloved Asian-owned business. The place is easy to miss for a lot of first timers, since the building looks more like a house than it does a restaurant. The beautiful mural on the outside is what usually gets my attention but it's literally on the corner of Houston Ave and Edwards Street. Parking can be a challenge at times, but the steady flow of customers in and out means the wait to find a space won't be long. The interior reminds me of a renovated retro diner. I love the vintage decor pieces adorned on the wall and it didn't dawn on me that the place had Asian management until I saw the urns and Chinese characters behind the counter. It was a surprise but I'm all for it. (#1) The staff was extremely kind and current owner Theresa Fong and her adult children were doing a masterful job at running the show, cooking the food, and greeting every customer. Every time I've gotten a burger here, it's been great. The 1/2 Ib beef patties are a welcome departure from the smashburger trend that has been sweeping the city the past few years, and the heartiness of their stacked burgers is my usual preference. Truth be told, I haven't really had a bad burger here yet, thus I tend to get something different here each time. The Miss Piggie (ground bacon + beef patty + house candied bacon + hashbrown + cheddar + lettuce + tomato) is an easy go-to, as it combines a lot of sweet and savory textures. I do feel their turkey burger is highly underrated, and the holy cow (5 different cheeses) is cheesy in the best way. The blue moon (crumbled bleu cheese) is my pseudo guilty pleasure, but the monster burger (1 Ib of meat, 1/4 bacon, 4 slices of American cheese, with all the fixins) is the one item I can expect a nice food coma. Combine this with their tator tots, french fries, onion rings or pickle chips. There are also many burger alternatives, from veggie options to other sandwiches. Their club sandwiches are stacked (literally) and the tuna salad as well as the BLT, or smoked turkey sandwiches sound fabulous. I've heard good things about their chicken caesar. The prices aren't back breaking and the takeout is so popular here that I'd recommend calling ahead of time. They are a friend bunch and whenever I'm in the area I'm always debating on making a stop to enjoy a good, casual, and delicious burger. ___________ (#1) Is this not the most Houston thing ever?“

I’m not sure if that is because of the supply and demand issue.I enjoyed the taste and the freshness of the food. I ordered a small portion of Bayou fries. Will I order this again? Absolutely. They are a bit pricey, but you can be the judge of the taste and portion size. I have posted what I ordered in the attached pictures.Enjoy…!!Vegetarian options: They serve vegan fries, but I did not verify if they are 100% vegan without cross contamination and fried in a different oil separately.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.“

And let's not forget about the spot itself - it couldn't be in a better location! The only downside might be parking, especially if it's busy or if you drive a truck. ? “Mama Seafood is a staple in the community, they gave been it business for over 40yrs, and I can see why. I ordered fish and jumbo shrimpand egg rolls. It was seasoned well and fried like I like it hard and crispy. The only reason I didn't give them a five stars for the food is because the fish is swai and not catfish. They do not except credit cards but can pay with zelle of cash app which is cool. But all in all, it a great family owned business and I will be going back.“

“In a small, converted home on Center Street in DP is one of the best Italian food restaurants I've been to (and that includes Italy, other European countries and even NY). The owner always greets with a smile and the staff are onboard with the mission. The cost is affordable and this mainstay of our community will be here as long as they continue their great service and wonderful food as they always have. I recommend the lasagne and any dish made with the lemon cream sauce (so good!). I'll be back soon, and often.“
