“The atmosphere, the vibe, the music is on target. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and pleasant. The food did not disappoint.”
“This place is AMAZING! We moved and we’re so sad to leave our Sushi place behind. Tried tons of places in Denton and surrounding area and were very let down until we came across this place. This place will not disappoint!”
“We had the Ribeye and the Salmon and they were delicious and this was our first time there. Our lovely waitress was very kind and shared great food choices and took great care of us. We will be back for sure!”

“This establishment was a nice find while we were in the Denton area. This place is operated by a husband and wife team who said they have been operating the restaurant for 30 years, which explains why their food was so delicious. We live 190 miles away, but definitely plan on going back. The atmosphere in the place was nice and relaxing.”

“I recently visited Hawaiian Bros Island Grill and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Honolulu chicken.
It was a very savory flavor with a hint of sweetness.
The service was great and the food came out really fast and tasted nice!
Would definitely recommend!”
“We visited the Denton location on a Friday afternoon a little after 2 pm. Four adults & my infant granddaughter who is blind & was in her stroller. Two hostess told us we couldn't take the stroller in only the car seat or we could walk up stairs (2 flights)where there was no air conditioning carrying the stroller. They didn't mention an elevator. My son-in-law decided to put the stroller down to its cart seat(all in one unit) and put it in their high chair. The high chair was not safe it wobbled & we had to set the diaper bag in it to keep it still. It also took up more room than her stroller/high chair did when completely opened. The restaurant wasn't that busy & the stroller would not have been in the way. Before we left the GM was interviewing at a 6 too right behind us so I went over & told her what happened. She was very nice &!apologetic. The bartender, who served us was great & the food was excellent. However, they are not child friendly. I choose to speak up because my daughter went in the bathroom crying. She has a child with a very rare genetic syndrome & is being told she can't bring her stroller in which is basically how they take their child everywhere & will need to. This is the only place we have been that has said they have a policy against strollers.”
“Definitely meets all the hype and 5 stars on every rating site. Must hear the details on each item from the staff though. So innovative with just the right complexity and balance of flavors. Hard to pick an order with all the choices. Great service too. Good luck in getting a reso.”
“The service was excellent, Ethan was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit. We love the atmosphere, very welcoming.
Bought a carrot cake, key lime pie, a latte and chai latte with vanilla both hot.
The coffees had great flavor. The key lime pie crust was a bit crumbly and the carrot cake was a bit dry.
We will definitely be back to try other items on their vast menu.”
“For anyone vegan or not - Mashup Market deserves your support. The owner has been incredibly kind and welcoming to myself and my friends. Their vegan "crunchwrap" is better than any Taco Bell crunchwrap I've ever had. Every single sandwich at their deli is amazing. It's one of my favorite date spots. They also have vegan versions of so many classic candies.”
“This place was super chill and I will definitely go back. My only hesitation to visit was wondering if it was dog friendly. I did not see anything mentioning outdoor seating or being dog friendly. The most disappointing thing about my visit was arriving after dropping my dog off at home only to find that it is in fact dog friendly and had 2 dogs inside. The drinks were good and tasted better than the straight Kava I have made at home in the past.
Kid-friendliness: Don't bring your kids here. No official rule. I just say so.”

“Man this place blew me away. This was my first time here so I did not know what to expect. I came for a Birthday for a friend where a D&D game was being DM'ed by someone there as a reference point.
Parking was not the best only because it is the area, not the place itself. It is located right in the square so if you are there to walk around for a bit and see a few things it makes sense and would not be bad. For someone who was coming to this place for this event, I had to walk a decent way because I did not find a place to park close.
When I walked in, I knew I would like the place. There are a ton of places to sit and drink beer with a great selection. I had a couple of selections and all were great.
I loved the wall of board games that you could choose to grab and play. I saw parents with kids, what looked like a teenage boy and girl on a date, a group of people in their 40's all playing a game. It was fun to see that.
What I did NOT expect was to be led to a staircase that went DOWN. Underneath his really cool and large room up top, sits 3 separate rooms that could be closed off and held 6-8 people I think per room. I did not get a good look at one of the 3, it may be bigger. It is all wood and feels like a Tavern from the old days. Really cool setup down there and a great feel!
Seating was comfy but I do feel like the room we were in that was for up to 8 people did not truly fit 8 people (with a DM). We had to have someone sit on the side away from the table. Another thing that was lacking a bit was the lack of power outlets as we are all D&D Beyond users which means we had laptops. So we had to make that work. One last thing was that although the rooms were separate, they were still close to each other and we would hear the other group as they triumphed. This was not a bad thing, just calling it out. Our DM did run late but was amazing. She did a great job. Because she was late, we all got a free round on the house which was a great gesture.
I had a great time and would 100% recommend!”
“This is my favorite spot in Denton whenever I’m craving a poke bowl! Their Build Your Own Poke Bowl is my go-to – I usually go with ahi tuna and sometimes add spicy tuna or tempura shrimp as a second protein, then load up on all the fresh toppings. Their combination fried rice is also a solid pick if you’re looking for something extra filling.
Everything’s always fresh, and you can add tons of toppings (avocado and cream cheese cost extra, but most toppings are included). My favorite sauce mix is the spicy mayo and ponzu. Plus, they always throw a little treat in the to-go bag, like Starburst, which I think is a great touch.
During Lent, especially on Fridays, it can get pretty packed, but most of the year it’s a nice, quiet spot for lunch. Parking at lunchtime can be a bit tricky, though – I’ve sometimes had to park by McAlister's or the Armed Forces Career Center and walk over, or drive around until a spot opens up. I usually order online, and while I wish they had an app to make it even easier, their service is impressively fast. I can place an order when I leave work, and by the time I get there – about 10 minutes later – it’s ready to go.”
“Ambiance is so good. Live jazz on Tuesday night. Outdoor games for the kids. Earl Mar-tea-ni was beautiful and delicious. The food was very good, not mind-blowing, but well worth the prices. Very nice fruit cup with the kids’ meals. The service was excellent, even with just ordering at the bar. Very attentive and helpful! Hard to find places to afford a night out these days, so this is an absolute gem. Will be back for sure!
Kid-friendliness: Many outdoor games and fenced in open space to be able to move around while waiting for the food”
“Such a wonderful welcome, from the moment we walked in. We were given some food recommendations, after asking if it was our first visit. The food was amazing! I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the Turkey sandwich. So scrumptious! Our server, Kaylie was so sweet and efficient! Another gentleman, Mohit, (I hope I spelled his name right) came by to see how we were doing. We had such a wonderful conversation with him, I felt like I was eating with friends! Foods amazing, ambiance was amazing, all employees made you feel at home! Great place to go. We’ll definitely go again!!”
“Had a to go order. The chicken and gnocchi soup had no chicken or gnocchi and it was juicy broth and some veggies. I understand if it’s the end of the batch. But don’t serve that to someone who’s paying for it please. I also feel like they don’t give enough dressing per the amount of lettuce they give you since it’s prepackaged I get it. The food Alo’s did come cold. And it was a $6 drive back to the house in a sealed container in a closed bag. Maybe ordering to go just isn’t the best option.
Vegetarian options: So vegetarian options available
Kid-friendliness: Yes of course- very family friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes it is wheelchair accessible. Tested it myself!”
“My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. Thank you to the kitchen staff and everyone in the front of the house and remember to save us a table on Saturday nights. See you soon.”

“It's one of the best subways I've been to! 💯 Tailor and Serenili did an amazing job making the sandwich look with professionalism. Very polite and nice people. And they wrapped my sandwich into 2 half's, making it very convenient for truck drivers. I'll be coming back, definitely! Keep up the good work! 🙏”
“My meal was great…But i will say, the lady working their during the night time has a MEAN attitude, No professionalism whatsoever, that is not how servicing should be, Seemed like she was miserable at work, Just an overall bad look to walk in and see . Rude to fellow employees, customers shouldn’t have to see or hear that .”
“Hello was very embarrassing to eat at this Whataburger. The shift lead instructed one her workers to go clean the mens bathroom this basically refused for over 10 minutes to do his job. This guy stalled the whole time to go unclog the urinal a simple task. There was piss water all over the floor and people continue to walk in this gross mess tracking it into the dining area wow”
“This is hands down the BEST Taco Bell both my husband and I have ever been to. They have not messed up a single order out of our dozens of orders over the past few months. The staff is always friendly, they give plenty of napkins, and the care they take to make sure every order is correct everytime is astounding. I am thoroughly impressed with this Taco Bell, thanks for always being awesome!
Dietary restrictions: I'm a vegetarian and they are wonderful about not cross-contaminating food items.”
“Upon arriving this fine establishment, we entered into the lobby. It was a little small but felt homey and nature. We each took our turns, my three friends and I, Is ordering off the menu. While waiting for our food , I noticed the mcdonald's Croc toy That they sold A little bit ago were actually very launchable using the table tents to mark our location in this establishment. The food was brought out efficiently and with a smile.I got the five dollar "meal deal" And it did not disappoint I was hoping to see One of our former presidents here today but I don't think he works at this location. I noticed that the Sprite they serve is very tasty even if your friend makes you laugh so hard that you do a spit tank and it comes out your nose a little spicy. But not too bad, pretty good experience.”
“Its worth it to just pay for the time frame and give each kid there own band and let them go crazy. Pizza was ok, and the kids actually ate it. We got the souvenir cups for return visits and save the cards to just reload each time. We've never done the trampoline park/slides area yet.”

“I was on this side of town for a field trip. wanted to eat healthy and have been craving some Greek. I'm so glad I did. The food was wonderful, the staff was friendly and not as pricey as these chain restaurants. if you are in Denton and craving a healthy option or craving good Greek food, I highly recommend this place”
“When I tell y’all this food is sent from heaven, I mean it! I found this place when I was looking for places to order on DoorDash. The reviews were so good that I decided to just go up there because everyone speaks so highly of the owners. Be prepared to wait about 15 minutes, but it’s worth every minute sat!! I got 2 of the brisket tacos and a brisket bbq potato. It’s freaking huge! I’m going to try to the brisket sandwich next time because a family that are regulars were up there waiting on their food and told me I gotta try it next! I will be back this weekend. 😆”

“Avoca has some of the best iced coffee in Denton. My go to is the iced vanilla latte with oat milk or the TX Bourbon butterscotch iced latte with oat milk. They usually have a decent pastry selection as well. The atmosphere is great for meeting a friend or just relaxing by yourself with a morning coffee. There is an outside patio also. The barista’s are really nice and know their coffee. Highly recommend!”
“Limited and unique beers on tap. But what will make me a regular is the staff and atmosphere. Staff is knowledgeable, kind and funny. I would stop in every day if I lived in town! Best chill vibes and unicorn farts. Beers on tap and take home means you can find new stuff and don't have to commit to peopling just to get it after a long day.”
“The burger I had was the only one that came close to my best choice in Denton. This was an amazing burger. The place is clean with super friendly staff. I need to mention a delicious vanilla ice cream and banana milk shake. Prices? You get more than what you pay for. Please try it and experience it for yourself.”

“Fantastic service and excellent food! Drinks were delicious. We ate here while on town for a dance competition and we will definitely return when we’re in the area! So wonderful and such a breath of fresh air having kind, attentive service that appeared to enjoy their jobs. Highly recommend!!”

“My family stopped here for a burger when passing through Denton, and man am I glad we did! Food was delicious. Burgers were juicy and flavorful, fries were crispy, even the fountain coke hit the spot. Jaden was our waiter, and he was a gem - enthusiastic, cheerful, and kind the kiddos. A great experience all around!”
“I was at Plano West High School for Snowflake Bazaar and saw Denton Texas on the sign as I am an alumni of TWU and wanted to try their cookies. I got 2 peach cobbler and a lemon and let me say that I ate the 2 peach cobbler in the car. it was a very tasty treat. nothing that I ever had before. When I make it to Denton next time I will stop by.”
“Drinks were a little expensive, but taco's were well worth the money (Unadvertised Taco Tuesday). Not a great selection of beer, but they made up for that on good food. Look forward to our next visit.”

“Went out for a dinner date with my husband and decided on Applebees for the $3 beers and Margaritas. Our server, Branden was amazing, very attentive and personable. He started by greeting us at the door and quickly showed us to our table near the bar. The bar was incredibly busy but our server made our drinks and brought them out within a decent time. My Margarita was super tasty. We ordered the mozzarella sticks which were amazing but the rest of the food was just okay. Took a little bit for it to get out to us. Ended up waiting for food more than the two rounds of drinks we had. Overall the service was exceptional but food was mid.”

“Sidewalk Cafe is our favorite place to eat in Denton county. We have not had one thing to complain about, the food, service, and the cleanliness. Sam is great in the kitchen but SUSIE Is the sweetest friendliest owner we have ever met! Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The best pancakes ever! Always have to get a to go box.”

We enjoyed the chicken and paneer Mandi , both rich in flavours and beautifully presented. The portions and prices were generous. Highly recommended for a delicious Indian meal!”
“Took my dad there for his first visit. Food was good and tasty however, his salmon was a bit overcooked and a lil dry bit he liked it nonetheless. Service was good and it was sweet to take a couple complimentary croissants home. They make for a sweetl delicious treat. Don't forget to tip your servers. Now, go get your grub on.”
