“Update: just celebrated my 65 birthday. Lobster! This is my most favorite seafood restaurant. Everything is 100%. There's not a bad item on the menu! Today we kept it simple with a Greek salad and their seafood soup, which is awesome! Been coming here since a place was built. Tonight it was brother and sister night!“

“Abe's Cajun Market in Clear Lake. A salty gumbo which would normally be an instant deal breaker. But I really liked this gumbo. Even with its saltiness, it has a nice amount of sausage and chicken and a pretty good flavor profile. I’d have it again. I also had the seafood gumbo. They cook the shrimp in it instead of adding at the last moment. And although really salty, I liked it, too. Abe’s looks to be a place that I want to sample more from the menu.“

“After attending the Wine Fest in Kemah, we went to this restaurant based on positive reviews. What a delight! I cannot believe how exceptional the food was, which was only matched by the superior service. You seat yourself and order at the register. The wait staff gave a full description of the menu offerings, specials, and favorites. They were most pleasant and professional. We ordered the salmon and shrimp with curry rice, fried fish with plantains and potato salad, and slices of carrot and red velvet cake. Everything was freshly made to order, and the wait was worth it. Packed with flavor, hot, well presented, it's the best meal we have had in some time. I'll be certain to visit again, and I hope they're around for some time. It's a fantastic establishment!“

“Pook’s Crawfish Hole was everything I expected and more. The crawfish had a great flavor and the menu was great, even providing options for kids who do not eat seafood. My husband had the Pook’s platter so he was able to get a mix of boiled crawfish, shrimp, and crab. Our waitress, Shelbi, was amazing and she was very helpful. I can’t wait to go back for more crawfish!“

“Very impressed with the service here and not just because of the robot server. This place is very well attended by the staff. The food was delicious. I will admit the gumbo was thicker than what I'm used to and not as soupy but great flavor with lots of shrimp, chicken and sausage. I also had the fried fish on a bed of fries. Not kidding an entire basket of fries with about 5-6 fish filets. Very good value. The bar also looked very nice from where I sat. Awesome atmosphere.“

“Good draft beer selection and attentive bartenders. Food selection is good and more interesting than the typical sports bar of this style. Food quality was more on par with typical sports bar and didn't quite live up to the bistreaux expectations.“

“Had a blast here . Got the crabacodo, and I did not care for it however the waiter was surprised as he said everyone seems to like it . So maybe it just wasn’t my cup of tea . The guys loved their crawfish and the service was great. Nice place to hang out .“

“Went one afternoon for a late lunch and was able to indulge in the happy hour menu. It was not at all crowded and I did not have to wait to be serviced. For my appetizer, I had the fried okra and for a drink, I had the Hurricane. Both were good and the drink was surprisingly pretty strong and not watered down at all. I liked the crawfish etouffee but there could have been a bit more crawfish and less vegetables. Overall though, this was a nice meal. Service from my waiter was good and I will definitely be back soon.“

“I recently had the pleasure of trying the lemon pepper wings and and I must say, they were absolutely fantastic. The flavor was spot on - the perfect balance of tangy lemon and savory pepper. The wings were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I couldn't get enough of them!Not only was the food amazing, but the service was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make great recommendations.Overall, my experience at this restaurant was totally enjoyable. The combination of incredible lemon pepper wings and excellent service made for a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious offerings. If you're a fan of wings, this place is a must-try!“

“Excellent boudin balls! You can buy them fresh & ready to eat or frozen to take home. The boudin is very meaty with great rice. Can be bought fresh, cold vacuum packed or frozen. The store has a great selection of Louisiana food items. This is truly a market!“

“The food is Okay its not terrible but it's not the best that I have had. One dish the fried green tomatoes was excellent but they took this off their menu. I tried the barbecue shrimp and it tasted more like a Gumbo Rue than Barbecue. Really didn't like it.“

“Y’all don’t fail this place! It’s delicious, the service is great and they’re not pushy with the free samples they hand out. Food is fresh and the poke bowls taste like shaggy dog sushi. For $10? That’s an amazing deal for what you get! Highly recommend 5 ⭐️“

“Dined tonight with a group of nine to celebrate my wife's birthday. They installed a new WiFi system this week, so I had to drive to the restaurant to make my reservation since the phones were down Tuesday night and Wednesday midday. No big deal since they serve my wife's favorite steak in Texas, the filet mornay caprese and I was not willing to chance not getting a reservation.As usual the meal was fantastic, we had the spinach artichoke dip to start with the best chips. Main courses were the filet, pork Marsala, and the beef and blue ribeye. I'm not a blue cheese fan, but I subbed Boursin cheese on top.Only hiccup was at the end. The waitress asked if I wanted it all on one check and I confirmed. However, we were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee (we did) before being presented with the check. This had never happened in any of my many visits and was a poor way to end a wonderful night and celebration for my wife.“

“My family wanted crawfish so we decided to try somewhere local instead of our usual spot. My wife and I ordered the crawfish special which includes three pounds crawfish, 2 potatoes, 2 corns, and 2 eggs. We also added a pound of shrimp and it came out to be around 40ish bucks. Not too bad.Before we completed our order, our waitress mentioned that it was the price for frozen crawfish and the live crawfish was going to be $15/pound which is totally overpriced! We decided to opt out of the live crawfish and imo it wasn’t worth it.After we had our meal, I tried to use my Bay Area Food Lovers card that allows me to get 10% off for up to four guest (we had a party of 7, but we only ordered 4 specials), but I was told that I could only use it for myself and I could not include the three other orders.Overall, the crawfish size was small and the flavor was decent, so maybe we will try it again later in the season.“

“I was really craving crunchy fried chicken but wasn’t expecting to find any at the food court. Only this place outta all of the stalls had what resembled it, so I gave it a try and OMG ? their “Cajun fried chicken” it was amazing! ? So crunchy and flavorful with the dry Chili’s to nibble with every bite! So glad I tried it! ?“

“Every crawfish season, I seem to return to the same place. These guys know how to boil it. It is fast, and they're always always extremely friendly. It's a great place to hang out and grab a quick drink and good food. Make sure you ask extra spicy and have plenty of napkins. #lowcountrycajun“

“We absolutely love this place. Definantly our go to for a nice romantic date and special occasion. For the price its awsome. Grilled oysters are the best here and we have tried many places noone compares. All the servers are great and the manger shawn always walks around making sure everyone is ok and goes out of his way to talk to you and makes you feel like your family. First restaurant weve been to that the manager actually cares to talk to each person and you actually see in the restaurant. We had two meals and double order of oysters for 100 dollars not bad. Gotta try the beinville and Rockefeller.“

“I reserved the Emmitte Room to host a surprise 50th anniversary party for my parents. I live overseas and worked with Doug to plan the party from 8000 miles away without every stepping foot in the restaurant or seeing the Emmitte Room in real life until the day before the event. Doug was so great to work with! He not only executed the party flawlessly, but he helped to ensure that my anxiety was kept at bay. Brandice was the lead server the evening of the party and she was the ultimate professional and added so much value to an already amazing evening! Thank you to Doug, Brandice and the rest of the team for helping me to pull this off. I couldn’t have done it without you all. (The room was stunning and the food was out of this world!)“
