“I'm so glad that I stopped here on my way through Dumas. The barista was very friendly and the coffee was delicious. I only wish I could have tried more of their signature coffees. The Monica was great!”
“Best legit taco truck we have found in Texas. California has tons of good Mexican food. Texas has been a struggle for us. We will definitely stop here again. Hot salsa is really hot but you can’t stop eating it. Thanks for the great lunch.”
“Even though it was a Friday and they were packed, service was excellent. This was my first time here as I'm new to Dumas. The food was delicious and hot and the Frozen Peach Margarita was yummy. I especially loved the salsa that came with the chips. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat. Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“This place was amazing. Great food, and friendly people. (Small confusion when we were seated) we had the buffet. The selection was plentiful and choices for kids and all. Whole fried fish, shrimp chili colorado, fresh tortillas and more. A must try and I will return.”
“Best food for miles! Ordered the 287 Roadhouse burger and chili. It was awesome! Super friendly folks! The waitress was awesome, and Matt, the manager, walked around checking on everyone, not something you see anymore! Will definitely be back next time we are in town! And don't forget about dessert..Fruity Pebbles Cheese cake! AmazingParking: PlentyWheelchair accessibility: Accessibility”
“Stopped in for lunch on our way back from Denver to Ft. Worth area. Glad we chose it. The burger was very good, especially with the addition of green chilies. My daughter and I shared the onion rings. Got a lot in the order and they weren't over-battered or greasy. We were saying that they were some of the best rings we've had. Staff was very nice. We'll definitely be back when we're on this route again.”
“4.75 stars. This was a short-notice stop on a road trip, because I have dietary restrictions that exclude pretty much every fast food joint between CO & OK.But it was a *fantastic* choice. All 6 family members were able to order something safe and enjoyable. Our only complaint, as travelers, was the smell in the women's bathroom. It was definitely clean, but didn't exactly smell like it.Kid-friendliness: While the actual kids menu is rather slim, all of my kids were able to order from the regular lunch menu, and all of them ate well over half their food. They say the fried rice was top notch. My 10yo says it's his new favorite restaurant.”
“If you have not tried Taqueria JC Food Truck in Dumas you are missing out. Authentic Mexican food and sooo delicious!! Trust me you won't be disappointed. Their Chile Verde burrito and Barbacoa burrito is Bomb. If you like spicy get the Chile Verde it's amazing!!”
“O I had a breakfast burrito. Maybe one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Makes me want to move to the Dumas area. The server looked to be in his 50s or 60s, so I'm thinking he may be have been the owner. He couldn't have been nicer. Anyway I can't wait till I pass through this area ”
“The aguas frescas are delicious and the Al Pastor taco was top notch. Very flavorful, lots of parking and clean restaurant and bathrooms. Great pitstop for a hungry family.”
“Molcajete was delicious. Good service, good food. The only thing would be to have someone at the door. You kind of stand around for a bit until you realize you just sit down on your own hoping a waitress notices you.”
“The food was delicious, including the salad bar. The salad bar also had a vast selection with salads, different veggies, sauces, soups, dressing and even pudding. We ordered the tilapia in garlic crust which was very good. The mac n cheese seemed to be out of the box, so I wouldn't recommend that. But our party also ordered the steak and it was good, even though it wasn't done medium, but rather well done. The service was really good and fast. I'm not deducting a star for it, but we were charged more tip then we left - which never happened to us while traveling. I'm not sure if it was intentionally, but I'm giving them the benefit of doubt. But still check you bank account after. This place looks closed since there are no windows, but it was open during their posted business hours when we got there.Other than that, we recommend eating here and would always go again if we are in the area.Parking: A lot!Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the choices of the salad bar.”
“This place has really good fresh flour tortillas. You can see them preparing them. If you want them really fresh and hot all one needs to do is ask. The only problem here is the cashier is hardly at their post. It takes longer to pay for the tortillas then anything else. Other than that really good product.”
“Mariscos y Birria El Sinaloa is the kind of place you tell your closest friends about. I can’t fully describe how epic the ceviche was the first time I had it here. It’s still amazing and that’s putting it mildly. I’ve visited several years now on the way to/from the OkieTex Star Party and have brought friends. We’re always looking forward to catching a meal here. The shrimp tacos are L-oaded. Two hands are required and I nearly needed to be carted out of the place with my belt unbuckled and pants around my ankles. It’s that good.Note: Cash only. You might catch a rush of students from the nearby Dumas High School at lunch break as they offer specials to students, but it’s well worthwhile. We are generally towing RV’s and park in a gravel lot behind or to the side of the Allsup’s that is next door to the restaurant.I’m dying that I didn’t get a photo of my bestie, bowl to his lips, draining the ceviche on Sept 16. Next time!”
“We were passing through town on a road trip and had to stop for some work on our van. I looked up local places to eat or grab coffee and I found the Toppled Turtle and Herencia! First of all the service was fantastic. And secondly, the pizza, beer, and coffee were all phenomenal. We also loved the atmosphere with the cozy couches to relax while enjoying your pizza or drinks. Highly recommend this spot.”
