“When we travel through Brownwood Texas we love stopping here for a meal. We have always been treated with kindness and a friendly smile. The staff is professional and warm hearted. The price won't hurt your pocket especially the lunch menu. Plenty of good food to choose from and wonderful indoor or outdoor seating.Kid-friendliness: There is a playground for children.“

“We had a good afternoon meal and rather enjoyed the experience.I had the chimichangas and my wife had the mole enchiladas. Both with rice and beans. The mole enchiladas rated at about an 8. Bit spicier that what she generally prefers but didn't kill her. Beans and rice were both about the same 8.Also had chips and salsa. Chips were good and crispy and salsa was o.k. chips an 8+ and salsa probably a 7ish.My chimichangas with steak were very crispy, in a good way. The meat was fresh inside and the cheese sauce was pretty tasty. When it comes to this meal it's hit or miss at most places. La Botana hit for a 9 on my entree. Beans and rice for me were tasty and had some good flavors. About an 8 for me as well. The beer was nice and cold. Not many choices on tap. 4 I believe. But XX was available and it was pretty good. Overall a 9. Selection... I would have preferred a cold Shiner or even a dark Modela.Wife had a house margarita on the rocks dressed. She gave it an 8. Enjoyed it and realized it wasn't supposed to be fancy. Was not bitter, which is a typical complaint for a house margarita. She liked it.Our server was a young man likely in his early 20s. Great attitude, nice and quite competent. Took good care of us. Very noteworthy is to say that while my wife was talking to me, he came close to our table, but not up in our grill and he waited for my wife to finish saying a thought and waited until we addressed his directly, meaning he was patient and respectful as to not just walk up and interrupt my wife. We thought that was pretty awesome of him.Atmosphere was alright. Included some pictures. The bar area was small, but I could see sitting there if we wanted to get a quick drink. Quaint area.Nice experience overall. Would totally go again when we are in town. And as a side note. We also went to Fuzzy that same day and she got a margarita there also. La Botana's margarita was far better.“

“UPDATE: I finally made my way back to this restaurant. I must say that they have improved a lot since my first visit, recorded below. The food is better and the service is certainly better. Was glad I went back. The prices have not changed much, which means they are now competitive with other restaurant prices in the area.FIRST VISIT: Mediocre food which took to long to serve. 2 shrimp salads and 2 iced tea over $30 .I would suggest y'all to give them a try and see if it's better for you.Just went back, prices are the same and portions are half what they were. “If you are craving some AMAZING seafood or a juicy ribeye, this food truck is the place. You can pick it up at their home location, or they will deliver for a small fee. The food is cooked to order and about half what you'd pay anywhere else. We've ordered the Dungeness crab and shrimp boil twice now, once with garlic butter and once with Cajun seasoning. Both times the food was expertly prepared and absolutely wonderful. They give Veterans and other groups discounts, too. We cannot wait to order again! Two thumbs up!!“
