Visited RGV family during the HOT Summer month of June from my local Houston area suburbs. La Mexicana bakeries iconic to Elsa, Tx location has been a staple to my family heritage. Reminiscing early morning trips my parents would make for the freshly made delicacies they would bring from La Mexicana are sweet memories embedded in each morsel we have the preveilage of enjoying now even after our parents have been called hm to our Lord. I really love this place, very good bread and cakes. But during the weekends, they have delicious menudo (most of the time they have pata de res) and barbacoa (lengua and cachete) which are very good. And they always provide a great service, they treat you as a family.

Awesome place for Pan Dulce,Cakes n desserts. We grew up with this bakery n still enjoy. Family wonderful,friendly n enjoy talking to. Thank you n continue doing Greatness. Very talented.
