For years I have passed by every time I head home from Bastrop. So, Friday son and I finally went there to eat there. We were both impressed by homemade delicious corn tortillas and food. Finding good Mexican Food isn't too hard here in Texas, but every now and again you Find a Gem like this place That sets the Standard for the rest! I often taste my food before adding S&P or Hot Sauce, and Dude, I was blown away! No S&P was needed. I did try their house Hot sauce more out of obligation than necessity, because if the food was that good the Sauce has to be too, Right!? Well Helms Yea It Was! This is my new fav! I passed so many times but finally stopped today. I had the BEST chili rellano I’ve ever tasted. Beans and rice were over the top too! My husband got chicken soup that was enough for 3 meals and stuffed with veggies and chicken. New amazing flavors to each dish. Flavor explosion! The front Dining room is a bit warm but back dining room is a bit loud…still worth it. Can’t wait to go back.
