I have been going to this and other Mi Cocina's for years! I experienced the worst service ever on 12/22/2023! Beware! If Luis is your server!! RUN!! Ask for someone else, or leave the restaurant and do not look back! Rude, rushed us to order, did not listen when we ordered. Did not bring what we asked, did not come back to check on us at all. Did not box our leftovers like they always do, no extra chips or salsa. Had visited the downtown MC early this week and had the great service and this is how they do it, every time on leftovers! It is the holidays and I bring cash to give to servers. Needless to say I left with my hondo ( someone else will need it and appreciate it) and regretted giving him five dollars because he did not bring smaller change. Oh well. Also, they have gone up so much on the cost of their food, to add beef $4.00, bean soup $3.00, portions are smaller and now crappy service. Food was not as good also! Really sad! There are many other great Mexican food options. Go elsewhere!!

This was my first time to Mi Cocina. As seemingly happens to me often, we had a brand new waitress. Maria was so kind and knew the menu extremely well for it being her second day on the job. The food was just alright unfortunately. I know a taco salad is not the most flavorful dish possible, but it was very bland. There could have been a bit more seasoning/ zest added to the chicken or veggies with varying textures. It was a beautiful dining room with plenty of space in between the many tables.

It's an end if an era! This used to be the place to go! I've never been here when there wasn't a buzz in the restaurant and a wait to get in. I thought it was odd that the restaurant was so "dead" today. It was bizarre, but then I realized why! First, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Stacks of dishes on trays, dirty floor, filthy pepper shakers, and walls. The legendary mambo taxi is no more. There was always that dark purplish/pink color and ours came out a pale pink, watered down version. Sadly, the once delicious queso came out curdled. We were served food with no silverware or napkins. Service used to be impeccable here but that is a thing of the past! I will say that the brisket tacos were still delicious but they served the salad dry and forgot the dressing that goes on it. We won't be back and that is sad. There were so many things wrong and the restaurant is sadly not the same. What was once my go to Mexican food restaurant is the one I'll tell people to avoid. A sad day for Fort Worth.

Firts time at mi cocina, and it was a delightful experience. Our server Alicia was lovely, and she recommended us the mama's chiken con hongos. The food was delicious, and the service was great. I love the fact that she offered to box my food before leaving. Definitely will come back next time I am in town!
I recently took my wife out to lunch here. We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

Anytime I want NACHOS I go to Mi Cocina for 2 MAJOR reasons. #1 Maria S. I hope she works there for a long time because what can I say, when you service your customers as GREAT as she has it keeps us coming back!!!! #2 the Nachos my goodness cooked to perfection!!! I can’t get enough!
