Not from Texas but since we moved we are huge fans of Andy's for the incredible blizzard type custard creations. Service is fast, even with a line! Our go-to: concrete with Bordeaux cherries and cheesecake - impossible to beat.
The good: delicious frozen custard. I always get the Turtle Sundae. The bad: twice the the employees taking orders by the menu have disappeared without explanation and never returned. The ugly: this presents a quandary. Do I wait until they return or drive to the window to order? The first time this happened the young girl absolutely refused to take my and told me to drive around. Never had frozen custard before and had to try since it was a texas thing. Got the mint custard. Sizes are super big here. I think a small is probably more than enough to share with 2 people. I thought it was ok, a little too sweet for me.
