Deli News is as close to being in Brooklyn and Manhattan as it gets here in the metroplex. Tried so many other places in the past but none could achieve what Deli News has done. Went there last week for the first time. It was so good, I came back today to try the king of NY sammies -- the Reuben. The sandwiches are reminiscent of those wonderful NY Jewish delis every neighborhood had with fresh, tasty stacks of cold cuts, toppings and cradled with rye bread that's the staple of any true NY deli sandwich. These sammies are good.I've had the roast beef with swiss on rye -- absolutely delish. The Reuben, oh that Reuben. It was spectacular with a generous mound of corned beef and sauerkraut. That juicy meat, the tartness of the sauerkraut and that distinct flavor of the rye bread brought me back in time. Only thing I wish they did with the Reuben is put the dressing on the sandwich instead of ion the side n a container to spread yourself. To me, it's no longer a sandwich at that point, it's a DIY project. You should always be able to grab any sammie at the counter and eat it on the go. Dressing is killer too, by the way - good job on the dressing, guys. Can't leave out the fact that in typical NY fashion, they give you a side of pickles with that genuine NY Jewish deli taste. Only thing missing was someone in the background saying, "How you doin'?" If you've never had a NY deli pickle, you'll experience it here. One thing I loved but never really had in a NY deli is Deli News' onion rings. I think this is one thing for sure that's a signature thing I'll always associate with Deli News. Their onion rings are incredible. The fries? They're good but, fuggetaboutit. Trust me. The rings, get the rings. The matzo ball soup is terrific, too. Broth has a wonderful flavor that would make my buddies' moms jealous. They also have a great selection of deserts. For those of you from NY, they have the BLACK AND WHITE COOKIES. Once more, they have the BLACK AND WHITE COOKIES guys. Danishes are to die for, too. Haven't tried the cheesecake and I'll do that next time.Staff was incredibly friendly, which actually isn't typical of a NY deli but, nevertheless, I certainly appreciated it. If the people behind the counter were yelling across orders and bantering with each other, I'd believe I was teleported to one of the boroughs of NY. Just sayin'.If you enjoy a good sammie, try out Deli News. And if you're like me and miss NY delis, don't waste your time settling for less. Check them out. You'll see what I mean. I'll stop here. Made myself hungry writing this review and have to go eat now.

Amazing food/pricing/and staff!!! This NY inspired deli is fresh, consistent and incomparable to any other "sandwich shop". Go check them out and if there's a wait it's worth it.

Not only was the food incredible, but Jeff (the owner) rolled out the red carpet as I waited for my food. He told me all about the story of the business, and even shared some free fresh samples of some new items coming to the menu!!

Had the pastrami Reuben, pastrami was excellent, nice and moist with great flavor, reminiscent of the great NY delis. The side pickle was crunchy and tart. Rye bread is just the vessel for the meat and kraut.Service is counter style with self service water, utensils, etc, but the lowest default tip is set at 18%, thus the 3 stars for service.Would go back, but the price ends up being a little steep after the 18% tip, especially for self service.

Ordered a pastrami on sourdough. The absolute best sandwich I've ever had, hands down. Onion rings were big and very crunchy. Service was amazing. Guy at the counter was very helpful and polite. Would highly

I've been here a couple of times now and I must say the service has been top notch and the bagels are pretty damn good. I found Deli News after trying to find another bagel spot in Frisco. One of the reviews said they had the best bagel in the area and it was NY style, where I'm from.Upon entry, I was greeted by Jeff. He gave me the rundown in which he explained how he gets his products from NYC and the care they put into the service and food. I ordered an everything bagel, toasted with plain cream cheese. The bagel was very good similar to the ones I'm familiar with in Brooklyn. The texture was more on the bagel side than the bread side. The flavors were very very good. The texture was pretty good. It wasn't doughy or too airy. I've tried the jalapeño cheddar and plain bagel as well. They were both very good. The jalapeño cheddar was a perfect balance for me and not too spicy. The price wasn't too bad either I paid $3.33 for my Everything bagel with cream cheese. This is now my new bagel spot in the Frisco area and I'm looking forward to trying other menu items in the future. Please try them out too for yourself!

I miss the sit down & have your order taken instead of standing in a long line. Little loud and very busy. The Reuben was amazing! Homemade onion rings we excellent. Staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend the food. This is a gem!

Great NY style deli in the area- would highly recommend giving it a shot. It is a bit on pricey end for sandwiches but the quality is amazing. I just ordered to go but it looks like a great place to dine in as well.
