“First time coming here! Miguel was serving me! He was a very friendly person and kindly explained all the bread they had! I like the vibe and friendly place like that! I would say it's a little high end bakery ($27+ for 4 items I got) but the taste was pretty good! I like the pistachio croissant the most out the bread I had! “Their cookies are incredible! I strayed from GF food just to try these because my daughter always has them in the house ? and when I saw they had key lime pie, I just had to try it. Having lived in Sarasota, FL for a while, I was skeptical about how good it would be but it was absolutely delicious. All their cookies were. If I ever stray again, this would be my first thought when cheating ? they’re simply amazing!! Their classic pink sugar cookie is to die for! “The staff was incredibly friendly (even though I'm not classy enough for a place like this) and the food was amazing, nay, LIFE-CHANGING. I haven't had europaischen Gebäude like this since I was a kid in Germany. I'm not a complete idiot; food this good isn't cheap to make and you don't walk into a place like this without spending some money. The quality far surpasses the price, and it was honestly cheaper than expected.I'm a religious guy and every day I pray, "Give us this day our bread for the being" (it's not "daily"; it's like "super-substantial/essential bread for the spiritual being", or something), and let me tell you: THIS is that bread. If you disagree, I can send you to the Lord and you can ask Moses himself. My wife and daughter and I are currently crafting ghillie suits so we can disguise ourselves as two shrubs and a ficus, move into the café, and survive off their scraps. We'll see you there ? “I am in love with this place. The cake is soo soft and spongy and basically melts into your mouth. It is just the right amount of sweet. The cashier was super helpful in helping me decide the flavour to buy, and they have a sample for each week that she made me try. Absolutely gorgeous cake. Def coming here again.“

“They did an AMAZING job on my daughter’s three-tier birthday cake. Executed it so well from the inspiration photo. I don’t think many people are fond of fondant but the actual cake inside and filling was delicious. I’ve only tried coconut and red velvet and both are wonderful.“

“I've been meaning to visit this place for years and haven't had the chance until recently. You can take your time selecting as you serve yourself on a tray before going up for payment. They took care placing everything neatly for me to go. A welcoming atmosphere, beautiful FRESH selection of pan dulce, and I got so much for what I paid for! I got about 12 pieces, 2 of 6 different varieties. All of my pastries were wonderful and tasted amazing over the course of the few days we ate everything. I was so happy and pleased, and I will gladly be coming back often!“

“I was in Katy for work for a few months, and my only complaint was that I didn’t find this shop sooner. I can be a bit picky when it comes to coffee shops, having worked in a smaller chain of shops through college. Coffee shops that make a proper cappuccino in big cities like these can be hard to come by, so asking for a cappuccino is always a good way to gauge the care put into their craft (also, it’s cheaper and delicious). Lava’s the only shop that didn’t respond with “what size”, and made the perfect cap every time (with some pretty great latte art to boot). I even got the name of a sweet Japanese playlist from one of the guys working there, and even though I’ve moved again I still listen to it whenever I’m studying/working. It’s got the vibes, the best coffee, and should be the go-to for anyone in the area (I know it will be for me when I come back).“

This bakery is awesome, every single time and every single item I order is delicious, fresh and on point. I have mostly ordered catered orders both local and out of state for a birthday party of more than 500 people, and every single time it is 5 star service. Everyone I have referred also says the same thing about the business and the pastries. I don’t know why there are nothing less than 5 stars from reviewers. “this is hands-down, my favorite bakery in the entire world. The bread is the most savory thing in the world and I can only imagine it’s because they would use MSG or pig lard. I enjoy the garlic cheese bread the most, and I would also recommend the hibiscus lemonade. I don’t know of any other asian Bakery’s, but if you know of some, please let me know. “There are many places to get kolaches in this area of Texas, however, they’re not all Kolache Foctory. I use this location the most, but you will get pretty much the same great taste at every location and at this one the staff are very courteous. If you’re in the area, stop in and try the recent flavor of the month: eggs and Chile (it’s mild spice to me). You can never go wrong with the tried and true bacon, eggs and cheese kolache. This was the first time having the pecan roast coffee and it’s got a great aroma!“

“Delicious, easy to eat, and just the right size. I had never heard of kolaches before, but while visiting friends in Houston, they suggested trying them one morning for breakfast, it was a great choice. The staff were efficient and very friendly, and there is a huge selection of kolache fillings in the restaurant. I think I went with ham and cheese, and sausage and egg. Two were enough for breakfast. As other people have mentioned, they're really handy to eat while on the go - no mess. Great value too. I really want to look up some kolache recipes, as I don't think we have them in Ireland. The coffee was good too.“

I honestly honestly feel like it’s just a matter of how privileged the area is and how gentrified Katy is, but I really can’t tell you why. Most people don’t even realize how racist they’re acting towards me and they would not even be able to believe how they are speaking to me if they saw a video back towards them.
