Fantastic dive bar great music and sportsWas there on Friday for pride Galveston kickoff off .the drag performances were great but the last number they said Miss lafitte's Christina. We stopped here on Saturday and we were super early to the party for sure lol. When we walked in it had that dive bar feel you want. We played a few rounds of pool and then made our way to the back patio where we hung out in the pool and enjoyed our drinks. The folks there were so nice and of course welcoming! Yes, it’s a gay dive bar and yes they allow you to smoke inside. If you don’t like cigarette smoke? Well there’s your warning.I went there for the first time a year and half ago and found it nostalgic. It reminded me of the gay bars of the past, a bit of grit and a bit of mystery. The bartenders were nice and courteous. As a tourist I enjoyed myself there after my day time obligations. Also they have a lovely patio out back.
