“I'm not sure if the slow, inattentive service makes up for the superb food. It was a bit crazy to see the amount of employees just standing around whem we needed drink refills. The food is excellent and a bit on the pricier side, again just not worth always having to flag someone down.”
“All the food was delicious. It was very authentic. On top of that the service was good and the price was very reasonable. The fresh pasta was delicious. Both Ravioli sauces were out of this world. We ordered the Mediterranean style Octopus, Italian antipasto, Bolognese, Ravioli with mushroom cream sauce, Ravioli Pesce, Veal Campagnola, and tiramisu for dessert. We tried this for the first time and will definitely come back again.”
“Suggested by many on a Galveston fb group so gave it a try. The place was very busy which felt like a good sign. The wait wasn’t too long to be seated our visit, about 15 min so we chatted out front in the seating for waiting. The restaurant is decorated nicely but just so very noisy, nothing to absorb sound and it got to us after a while. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the crab stuffed smoke pork chop with mashed potatoes and a side of the cream sausage gravy. The crab stuffing was full of crab and shrimp and flavor. There was shredded crab on top of the pork chop too. The pork chop was thick and so Smokey but a little dry. I like my pork very well done so didn’t mind it because there was sauce on the plate, the crab stuffing, and the mashed potatoes to dip the pork chop in, but my husband wouldn’t have like it that done. The mashed potatoes were homemade, creamy, and delicious! The gravy, like what???, don’t think thick, floury, bland country/sausage gravy at all…it was a delicious, buttery, creamy sauce more then gravy to me, because it’s thinner than a gravy and more flavorful, less floury, with a few chunks of crumbled sausage in it. I ate it on the potatoes and dipped the pork chop in some too.My husband got the fish tacos. My friend got a shrimp po boy and the batter in her shrimp looked so flavorful. My friend’s husband got the fried oysters. We were all very happy with our meals. My husband’s beers came out extremely slow to where he stopped ordering them due to the wait. I had to ask for refills of tea. The ice is oddly cloudy looking and odd shaped. The tea was fresh brewed (I always ask because I do not like fountain drink tea), it was ok but maybe the water here or something, it had a little bit of an off taste. We will return to try more dishes.”
“My wife & had were in Galveston for 3 nights, tried to get reservations for dinner, but was booked every night. Best seafood gumbo I’ve had and oysters were very clean!Parking: Convenient paid parking on the street, parking lots and parking garage nearby. Very economical!”

“I've been going to Mario's Seawall restaurant since I moved to Galveston in 2012. Great food, good range in prices, affordable wine list, cheery staff. It's less than a quarter mile from my condo.Parking: Only one handicap space.”
“Everything about our experience was 5⭐️. Sherry is an excellent server, very friendly yet professional. I ordered the steak salad, while my husband had the dip sandwich. I would recommend both.”
“Excellent as always. Loved the lobster bisque soup and crab finger appetizer . Had our favorite Chilean sea bass, delicious. Enjoyed a complimentary birthday desert. Thanks to John Paul, Jarrod and our waiter Lazar. We'll be back!”

“The food was amazing!!! I’ve tried the burritos, tacos, gorditas and they all taste fresh and delicious. The owner himself was out there stirring up conversations and creating a comforting environment. Overall it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back.”
“I watched Michael and Ashley as they were re doing the store, among the rest of their properties, and wanted to visit if we ever made it to Galveston. We were very excited to visit, brought two of the grandkids and it was a total delight.Thank you for allowing us to watch the process from start to finish.San Tan Valley, Arizona/Frisco,TexasKid-friendliness: Would have liked a child's portion for the two littles.”

“We were a party of 7. Saw the reviews and decided to give them a shot. Called and asked if there was a wait and was told no, so we headed that way. Got a call 5 minutes later stating that they had a table already set for us. Wow!Our waiter (forgot his name ?♂️) was polite and thorough. Food was priced very fairly and everyone enjoyed what they ordered (gumbo, bacon wrapped shrimp, bourbon street, shrimp platter, etc.) While waiting for our food, noticed that the GM seems to have a problem with our waiter. Actually told him to “leave and come back with a better attitude”. News to us, as he seemed very pleasant….?♂️ This exchange took place next to the order pick up window which was right in the seating area. The manager approached them and they all went to the back. The situation was handled very well from that point forth. Everyone returned to their job shortly thereafter. (Even the GM who continued with doing absolutely nothing productive). In conclusion, food was great, service was great and glad they had at least one competent person in house to handle the GM’s compete lack of care. You have a staff that seems to work well together (outside of the GM) and solid food. Don’t jeopardize it.I’ll be glad to discuss our overall experience more in depth with an owner.”
“The seafood gumbo is one of the best I've ever had. Po'boy is incredible. We had the shrimp and oyster. Karen was an excellent server, we'll be back!”

“Absolutely amazing coffees that don’t just taste like milk and syrup but have a delicious fresh espresso shot in them. A cute little place to sit and have some breakfast. The food came out quickly and the staff were very friendly. We dined in and had:Large Andes coffee, hot - so delicious, you can taste the espresso and the recipe got the Andes taste spot on. I drank every drop!Lorraine quiche, got it warmed - delicious, creamy and flavorful egg, ham, and cheese filling; the crust was perfect, light, not too greasy and was flaky.Almond croissant, got it warmed - phenomenal, flaky buttery croissant, with a delicate almond flavored filling.Sourdough breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese - this one could of used something on the bread, it was good but a little dry/bland, the egg was hard fried, couldn’t order any other options as we would’ve preferred it over medium. Two of our kids met us there and orderedbacon and cheese croissant - bacon was good, the cheese was melted, croissant flaky and butteryBacon, egg, cheese croissant - son said it was so goodLarge Honey bun iced coffee - daughter raved over it, said it was delicious and actually drank it allIced black tea unsweet - son said it was goodRaspberry pastry - my daughter said it was incredible and wants another. She said we need them to open a shop close to us!Coffee was so good I returned later in the day and got an iced almond joy coffee. It was delicious! They have some cute merch and local advertising. I purchased a cute mural coffee mug.We will be back! I will try the spinach quiche, another yummy coffee or three and buy a tumbler!”
“My hubby & I enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch. Our waitress was great! My blackened fish was the best I have ever eaten. Plus we enjoyed a view of the Gulf/Beach.We highly recommend! We give Miller's a five star rating.”
“Always a favorite, but greatly disappointed today with the hostess today. We arrived 4 persons requesting a table of 6 for a birthday celebration. She refused to seat us till all guest arrived. As we complained she finally told us to go wait at a large table with barstools.A server approached us and told us that we needed to order if we sat in his section. All of our group work in the service industry and leave a hefty gratuity. The restaurant was half empty and could have easily accommodate a party of six with 2 people arriving 10 minutes later.”
“This restaurant is the best Mexican restaurant in Houston and the surrounding areas. When you visit please try the birria tacos and the casa agave fries. I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant took me down memory lane. It brought childhood memories of me being back home.Everything was superb including the waiter, staff and the welcome atmosphere. If you want to feel like home come here. You will not leave disappointed.”

“There were 10 of us, and we were easily able to put tables together. Portions were big and everyone was very happy with their food. The kids went outside to explore the beautiful grounds while the adults enjoyed visiting and catching up.”

“This is a local spot that you’ll wanna hit for sure. This is my spot. Smashburgers to go and a beer while I’m waiting. My fave spot to wind down after work!Kid-friendliness: Families come here a lot and they seem to love itWheelchair accessibility: It’s flat and there are ramps to enter onto the sidewalk. There’s easy access and plenty of tables outside.”
“Always a great experience. The staff is exceptional—efficient and attentive, even when I'm just picking up my order. I visit every Friday after work for a takeaway dinner and am consistently impressed by how quickly they prepare my meal. Despite never dining in, the vibrant atmosphere and the bustling bar full of satisfied customers are hard to miss. The food is worth the drive across the island from the Humane Society where I work, back home across the causeway. It's my go-to spot for Friday dinners, and I highly recommend it!”

Gaido's
“If I could give GAIDO ‘S 10 stars, I would. The entire experience was absolutely amazing from the location, to the ambience, the cocktails, the appetizer, and the food. It all was absolutely amazing.!! The restaurant overlooks the beautiful beach and the rolling waves. Christian was our waiter and he was absolutely amazing. All of his recommendations were spot on. The cocktails were delicious, including the slightly spicy, jalapeño olives that garnished our martinis. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the oysters on the half shell and I loved the calamari. The bread was to die for. Our entrées were beyond works of art. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp and the crabcake stuffed shrimp. We brought our dessert back to our room and enjoyed it later that evening. The entire experience was an absolute triumph. GAIDO’s is a MUST on your next trip to Galveston.”
“We had the most amazing dining experience here a few weeks ago. Carlos was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed. The food was all delicious, and absolutely loved the view! Definitely worth the visit.”
“Best place we have been for seafood! Sean and Karen were our bartenders with top notch drinks and service. My wifes birthday dinner so they made it special with a keylime pie. I had the Gouper and she had the Sea Bass and we shared the mushroom risotto. We used to have a couple of favorites on the island but Saltwater just moved to the top!”

“We recently stayed for 3 weeks in Galveston and experienced several restaurants. The meal we had here was by far the best we had. Food was interesting and beautifully presented, and service was top notch without being stuffy. We had 2 fish dishes, delicious creamed corn, split a wedge salad and the chocolate dome dessert. Too much food, to be honest. But a wonderful experience.”
“Everything about our experience was 5⭐️. Sherry is an excellent server, very friendly yet professional. I ordered the steak salad, while my husband had the dip sandwich. I would recommend both.”

“We went here because my granddaughter was celebrating her 21st birthday and wanted to experience a mimosa brunch. We were all pleased with the experience. Our waiter was excellent. He took it upon himself to bring my granddaughter a slice of birthday cake. Such a nice surprise. She was thrilled. My only complaint is that my eggs were very salty. Otherwise, I would rate it an all 5 star event.”
“We stayed in Galveston to celebrate an anniversary and wanted steak. Our hotel concierge recommended trying this place, so we gave it a go.We didn't realize it was so nice, but no one seemed to care that we were in jeans and T-shirts. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating! They were attentive and also didn't rush us, even though we arrived quite late. The atmosphere as far as the decor, noise level, music, and scenery was fantastic. The food was to die for! Be prepared to drop a wad of cash, but we thought it was so worth it. Our steak melted in our mouths! Our waitress understood that we were pleasantly full, but insisted on bringing out an anniversary dessert for us, which was so sweet of her--and it tasted amazing! This impromptu visit exceeded our expectations and made our anniversary that much better. Thank you for an enjoyable evening!”
“Was recommended to come here for dinner on my first solo vacation by Damian and had a wonderful night! Amazing food, Burt played on the piano, and the staff made absolutely sure I had a great experience! Will definitely go back when I'm back in town!”
“After two days of failed attempts to find a "good" restaurant in Galveston, I stumbled on a gold mine. Really, really good food. Excellent unpretentious wait staff, fresh food and ingredients, a stellar wine list, wrapped in a 1940s dinner club atmosphere. Transport yourself to a finer time in a quality restaurant and at discounted prices! An exceptional experience. Ask for Liz. She went above and beyond!”
“Me and my family love sushi like love sushi. Right when you walk in the environment of the sky bar is amazing. The service is outstanding the food is very very good I definitely recommend going here.”
“Always a great experience. Variety of foods for your taste bud flavor. When you do go I highly recommend Ibrahim as your server. He is very attentive. Checks on you at the right time. He is the server that cares! Will always ask for his tables.”
“Three friends dropped in for a late dinner on a Sunday night. Our waiter was Oscar who was personable, attentive, and engaged in light conversation. My friends and I all enjoyed the food, that was pleasing to the palate as well as the eyes.”
“Awesome food, and the happy hour menu is great for a lunch break!Parking: The parking lot is paid, but they will validate your ticket, and you will park for free.”
“Took a bit to find as it's hidden in a nook back a bit from the road, next to Hazy Days. Came upon it looking for place nearby to play my favorite NTN/Buzztime trivia. Service was EXCELLENT! Tried tacos and it was soon flavorful Spot on. Limited non barstool seating inside, but plenty of outdoor lawn style tables in the hidden nook. Recommend Asian chicken taco on flour tortilla- spicy n TONS of flavor, and Bahn mi tacowithout queso (I'm milk proteins allergic). Veggie taco was also good. Will be back.Dietary restrictions: Staff VERY knowledgeable on ingredients in menu choices and super helpful. I'm egg and dairy allergic”

“One of my OG fav breweries , I don't think I've ever been here and not found something on the board for the day that I didn't just LOVE . There are so many seating options here too , you can sit outside in the sun , you can sit under the covering , you can sit inside by the bar , you can sit inside by the brewery equipment OR you can go upstairs where it's 18+ only . My kiddos love the pretzel here and honestly I've tried so many pretzels and I always would pick theirs , it's just the perfect amount of " gooey" in the center that keeps me wanting more . Did I mention that they also have a playground for the kiddos ? Staff are always super laid back and friendly , on Saturdays at 1pm they do FREE tours . Highly recommend stopping by .”
24 Hour Restaurants
“It's a Waffle House, not intimate fine dining. We eat here every time we cruise, and it feels like family. Joe does a great job running the show. AJ always has a smile, and he remembers us. We'll be back in October!”
“The manager here for the afternoon shift is a great guy. He personally brought us our food as all Whataburgers do. He also took the time to ask us about our time here. I told him we used to live round these parts. He brought the kids a cinnamon roll to share on the house. It was a pleasant surprise. Staff works diligently here to keep the place clean and they were cleaning during our visit. It was cool and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it.Kid-friendliness: Gave the kids a treat on the house”
“It was one of the few places open late.. Past 9pm. We drove thru. The food wasn't as good as we had hoped. We don't have one near us so we were excited to grab some sourdough jacks. But we were a bit ”
“My only complaint would be feeling ignored when i went back to counter later to get some ranch. But other than that everything was good. And having started a keto diet, i was pleasantly surprised that not only did they have salad. But the chicken cobb salad was really good.Dietary restrictions: Cobb salad with or without chicken was good for me. As I am on the keto diet.”

“I've been going to Mario's Seawall restaurant since I moved to Galveston in 2012. Great food, good range in prices, affordable wine list, cheery staff. It's less than a quarter mile from my condo.Parking: Only one handicap space.”
“Freckleberry Teahouse is one of my favorite places to stop and grab an amazing beverage. The staff is super sweet, knowledgeable and their drink choices are always creative! I try to order off the featured drink menu but my fall back is the Thai Milk Tea + Boba! It's amazing!”
“Again, we were guided to a treasure by locals who knew where to go. Koops was an amazing lunch place with the best BBQ I have ever had. My Beef Brisket sandwich was perfect, without any additional sauces or flavours added. The Potato Salad was the perfect accompaniment to go with the slaw and brisket! My wife had 3 Beef Brisket tacos, which meant I got to try 2 of them the next day at lunch? as it was more than she could eat. Our friends had Beef Brisket with slaw and a Stuffed Baked Potato that she says was amazing. We will be returning before our departure for Canada.”
“We go crabbing in galveston. Afterwards, Every time we go to this restaurant. Fresh excellent food. Best prices. There fried mushrooms. Fish sandwiches. Excellent food. Will recommend to go there.”
“Exceptional coffeehouse experience! The coffee selection is diverse and expertly brewed, catering to every taste preference. The array of cakes is a delightful treat, each slice a perfect companion to your cup of joe. What truly sets this place apart is the impeccable service – friendly, attentive, and always ensuring your satisfaction. A definite must-visit for coffee aficionados and dessert lovers alike!”
“First time visit. We were immediately greeted and advised the process of ordering, which was nice. Hubby ordered French toast & I ordered ham omelet with biscuit. Omelet delicious...one of the best I've eaten. I would skip the biscuit. Luckily, hubby shared some French toast, which was good. Very nice people who work there. Very cute, eclectic restaurant.”
“Nice secluded spot near the medical center. Owner's are very helpful and nice ??.Lovely coffeeAmazing atmosphereFood tasted extremely fresh and homemade. Awesome place”
“Only had time to sample the ice cream here, of which the Lime & Orange sherbet were amazing! Old fashioned soda fountain style place. Super quality chocolate and confectionery, coffee, soft drinks etc. Beautiful building too. Would happily return.”
“First of all, let me give a big shoutout to Tracy! Everytime I've been there she's been super welcoming and sweet. Give my girl a raise. The service is great and FAST! The prices are good and the food is great. I highly recommend the Turkey Avocado sandwich, soooo good. The place is super nice and I love the vibes.”
“We are on vacation and wanted some Texas BBQ. Leon’s had some excellent reviews, so we headed to Galveston. When we pulled up, I was a bit hesitant to he in because the outside appearance; however, the delicious aroma of the BBQ filled the neighborhood. We ordered our meal with the help of our lovely waitress, she recommended the three meats and Leon’s cut, which was a fatty and juicy cut. Our dinner included 2 sides, but we ordered a third. Our meats were brisket, ribs, and sausage. Each was exceptional and by far the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. The ribs have dry rub and fell off the bone. The brisket was juicy and tender and the sausage had the right amount of spice. The price was reasonable; $28.00 for everything. Don’t let the exterior fool you! It’s worth the stop.”
“This is a cute restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Not too much seating so you may have to wait to get a seat...luckly our group of 10 dined in at the right time and didnt have to wait for seating. Everything was delicious. I ordered the Birra tacos with cheese and the French toast. If you are a coffee drinker.... you MUST order the Cafe de Olla.”
“Picked up family serving of beef and chicken fajitas plus 1/2 lb of shrimp which was supposed to feed 4-5 people. Plenty of rice and beans but just not enough meat for four people. Barely made one taco per person.”
“Great experience. A great Old Fashioned and the Old Cuban is great in a different way. The Happy Hour is a great deal with college town-like prices but way better cocktails. The Roasted Chicken Sandwich and Mac and Cheese were great too!”
“It's food is THE BEST! I had the most wonderful chicken linguine, and french fries ever! On top of that, the plating, and design is magnificent. They also had great service- we rarely were waiting at all! ???”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Found this little gem during a weekend getaway a couple days ago.We wanted a more traditional diner experience, and they didn't disappoint. The breakfast was hot, fresh, and brought out quickly.I will definitely be making this a regular stop when I am in Galvez!”
“This is by far the cleanest, most variety, best service Golden Coral I have ever been to. I know most have a reputation for not being that great, but this one was good. None of us knew what we wanted, and we all had different cravings. This satisfied all of us, and our server was very nice and kept our drinks full.”
“Great food, quick polite Service, a little pricey but I think that's just Galveston Island for you. Watched a few people attacking a plate of crab legs making me think I should have got that,,,,worth going.”
“Your food and service was excellent...BUT.. .I would not eat there again. The windows were so filthy that I could barely see thru them. Where is your pride in keeping a great place for people to enjo”
“Surprisingly friendly staff, the kindness and smiles made my day. The 7 year old ate his chicken tenders (without the ranch sauce!)that’s huge! It was so good he ate it without the ranch! The ranch dipping sauce didn’t make it into the bag,but as it turned it that was okay and that really says it all. Very nice, friendly, happy staff..we can all use a little dose of random kind acts .. and they delivered that and excellent food.Highly recommend this KFC,can’t speak for other locations but ????two thumbs up here! Thank you to the very nice ladies who were working this evening.”
“Very nice to have in the hospital while visiting a family member. Was grateful they had grilled chicken . Servers were very nice and polite. Very helpful and patient with my mother and I. Quick service.”
“Can I just say the store owner and the employees that work here even though they are inundated by cruise gas every week when the locals come in they are exceptionally polite the food is fresh the store is clean and they just work their rear ends off to make sure everybody’s happy taken care of, and really fast when I have a choice of sandwich shops in the area I choose this one based on the staff they work hard and they do a great job.”
“Schlotzkey's is a phenomenal deli chain serving a variety of sandwiches and pizzas. I've been going to this chain for decades, but this store only years ago, and this is a great store for quick and good service. Just remember that a large sandwich is not just large but truly massive, and the workers will remind you of that. A medium sandwich is what most would normally expect. Make sure to ask about what kind of chips they have!Parking: Very accessible and open parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible.”
“Hit the drive thru after a grocery pickup. Great thing about SBux is consistency. This was no different. Gingerbread latte was as expected and kids loved the cake pops.”
“The manager in the mornings is fantastic. His english was a little hard to understand but he was such a pleasant personality and very accommodating to his customers. We went there every morning for breakfast for a week straight because of him.”
“We stopped at this location while visiting from Houston. The staff was very kind and service was quick. We enjoyed our food and would definitely return another time.”
“I have been here numerous times & the staff, quality of the food & the cleanness continue to impress me. The staff is polite & professional 100% of the time. The quality of the food is as good, if not better, than any of the higher priced restaurants. Then there's the cleanliness, I always figure in the cleanliness of a restaurant when deciding how I feel about it & most every fast food restaurant starts showing cleaning issues within the first 6 months of opening. I guess Panda Express has been in Galveston for a couple of years or so now & It looks today just like it did the first day it opened for business, including the bathrooms. That says says a lot to me about the management & the employees. I would recommend them to anyone.Parking: There's usually plenty of parking spaces available, but it can get a little tight because they stay busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Two wide, roomy spaces right at the front door.”
“For chicken you can't beat it. I would have given 5 stars but it seems the last couple of years the pricing has really gone up. I mean it's great food it shouldn't cost 15 dollars or more for one person to eat. Otherwise the staff is always friendly and courteous.Parking: If the place is busy the parking lot can fill up.”
“I like this location because my food is always fresh and I don't have to wait in a long line to order. Everyone is usually friendly, which goes a long way. Makiyah is a great worker and a keeper!”
“This is by far the best Jack in the box in the state of Texas I was very pleased with the food and was proud of two of their manager one was named JoJo and the other I believe her name is Heather very friendly came in to work and help their team deliver outstanding service Jack in the box should appreciate their managers especially these two good job Jack in the box team and keep up the good work”
“Food is awesome! Sat by garage doors as dining was noisy. Unfortunately, it had a fish odor. Would recommend putting up with noise. Still, would recommend for dinner.”

“Sunday lunch visit with my brother, son and daughter in law was fantastic!!! We had fish and shrimp with greens and mac & cheese, oxtails rice & gravy with greens and mac & cheese and smothered pork chops rice & gravy with black eyed peas and fried okra. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious and more than generous portions. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Support this amazing local business! You’ll be glad you did!!!”
“That fondue was a meal all by itself with how amazing it is. Of course it's best when sharing with others so you can enjoy the fish platter options they have.Portions are huge for what you pay so it's worth it for the taste. Our waiter was really cool and everything looked well kept like the seating and ladies bathroom.I came from Houston to visit a festival and happy I took a chance with this place. ?”
“We have eaten at many Thai restaurants across the country and this one was one of the very best. The service was quick, and the food delicious and fresh. Also the owner can out and spoke with us. Great experience.Vegetarian options: We don’t eat meat and we had vegetarian options. My family really liked this place. We would definitely come back again.”
“So you know, this is a takeout place only (unless you are doing a tasting for catering). We went in and grabbed 3 of their cookies, Caramel Sugar, Peanut Butter, and Snickerdoodle. Wow, all three were so good. Huge, soft, evenly baked, with so much flavor. Skip the tourist places a few blocks away and grab a cookie to go.”
“The brisket is delicious. I tried the tamales some of the best tamales I've had in a long time. They have banana pudding today and that was really good too. I definitely definitely recommend this place. Especially for the brisket and tamales.”
“Great food !!! And awesome staff, they were on it!!! We did not wait long and they served you with a smile Something you don't see often in restaurants. I highly recommend it! We had pitas, Mahi, mixed fajitas, and fried mozzarella all was delicious.”
“The atmosphere is amazing? . The sausage and bacon is the best I’ve ever had from any restaurant I would so come back to this place every time I roll through Galveston.”
“Yummy! A wide array of toppings. Very clean. The candy bar and waffle cones are a nice touch. They also have these cool little separators for your cup so that you don’t mix your flavors!Kid-friendliness: Height friendly for kids”
“Visited the restaurant for my first time last weekend. The manager guided me through the ordering process, highlighted specials and offered samples of their custom sauces. I appreciated the attention payed and help offered to us. It was a great experience.”
“The food here is absolutely incredible! The vegan sandwiches are amazing, and the kombucha on tap... I'm in love!Excellent service and fantastic staff. We're eating here every time we visit!”
“It was meant to be we were trying to go to a different one originally and they were closed and we wanted soul food. So I googled again and found this place. And I am so glad we did. My husband got the oxtails. I got the fish it was delicious the fish was fresh. It was juicy. I wish they had fried okra, but the mac & cheese was good and so are the green beans. I almost forgot the little cornbread was delicious. We got ours to go. But even the atmosphere inside was nice. Definitely not trying to make this a race thing but I’ve been to soul food places and they look at me differently because I’m white and my husbands black but everybody in here was super nice and we didn’t get any side eyes. So if you wanna be treated like a human and get some damn good food, this is where you need to go 10/10 recommend.”

“When I heard Los Compos closed, I was so bummed. That charming restaurant in the house, tucked away from the main roads and just incredibly delicious. But luckily Lupita’s is carrying on with their greatness. I learned that many of the same people that worked at Los Compos are now there, so they’re bringing their greatness with them. $5.99 breakfast burritos that keep you filled up until dinner. Can’t beat it.”
“We came in after the entertainment ended. Didn’t have anything to eat, but we were warmly welcomed and the drinks were just right. The back patio is immense and I can’t wait to go back when it’s busier.”
“Who knew that and out of the way place would have such incredible food? It's definitely a working restaurant and not really given to an atmosphere but just certainly can't beat the great cuisine.”
“Awesome food, and the happy hour menu is great for a lunch break!Parking: The parking lot is paid, but they will validate your ticket, and you will park for free.”
“Nick's has a dog friendly patio area, so we went to happy hour and took the pup. We wanted to get something for the dog to eat. We ordered a burger patty to go. When we got the bill, they charged us $8.99 for what amounts to a 1/3rd pound patty. I think the whole burger with fries is $12.99. We've been to Nick's many times and have always enjoyed the food and drinks. BUT... $9 for a burger patty??? C'mon!”
“No food service anymore, but that's heavily outweighed by the bartenders I've met here. Specifically Starr and Stacy, amazing atmosphere and phenomenal service. I usually end up there when Ms. Starr is working, and she is polite and attentive to her customers. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends.”
“It was delicious! Only problem we had was that they first forgot about our fresh pineapple juices (thankfully we remembered before we drove off) and they got our ceviche order wrong but it was still delicious!!”

“Oysters were a little small, but overall that’s seasonal. Everything else was very very well prepared and tasted great. Staff very friendly. Very comfortable place to sit and relax and eat a nice meal.”
“While ordering from this establishment, I ordered delivery. Quite amazed they would deliver to be, my dearest Paloma walked from Galveston to my front door in Florida. I sadly had gotten the beaches wrong, oops. Sadly, she forgot my drink, so I made her walk back, tasted a little uncoordinated. But I can forgive her because she fixed my kitchen sink while she was there, an prepared lunches for my kids the next day. Do I regret only tipping $3? No. She should've walked quicker... I.W.M.D.D.K.all love,Florida man <3”

“All I can tell you is that we left Galveston 16 years ago and I still think about our Sunday brunches among friends at Los Compas. It was, and in my mind remains, the gold standard of simple, delicious, Mexican/ Tex Mex food.”
“Salsa was an excellent choice for good Mexican food cravings. Started out the meal with chips and salsa and ceviche. The salsa was served warm, chips fresh and the ceviche was fresh , nicely prepared and flavorful with adequate amount of seafood. Margaritas were ordered and WOW. No disappointment with watered down drinks. Ordered chicken nachos which was a great amount of chips with refried beans, chips and chicken fajita meat. Ratio was off but enjoyable. Tortilla soup was also order which was very good and favorable. Three different sizes of bowl choice was offered which I appreciated. I order regular which was a fair amount served with side of rice, avocado, cheese and pico. Broth was wonderful and appreciated that soup temp was HOT instead of wimpy lukewarm. Atmosphere was cheesy but probably appreciated by tourist. Overall very good food. Serving sized were generous so consider splitting a meal or leftovers are always a good thing.”
“Picked up family serving of beef and chicken fajitas plus 1/2 lb of shrimp which was supposed to feed 4-5 people. Plenty of rice and beans but just not enough meat for four people. Barely made one taco per person.”
“PAUL IS AN AMAZING HUMAN! Paul was welcoming, inviting and respectful! Took care of my friend and I and exceded expectations! Love you Paul! Thank you so much man! . . . Aside from Paul, it seemed like the club was okay, music was a little too loud but other than that not a bad place, I love how you can go to get your wristband around 9/930 and then come back when it's packed and skip the long line! Shout out Paul one more time!”
“Clean, reasonably priced, and delicious food! Breakfast ends at 11. We were a tad disappointed but only till we received our lunch! We had the beef fajita tacos on flour - delicious! Great flavor and big chunks of meat. We shared snd were full. The small queso and guacamole aren’t tiny. We had more than enough for two. Loved the thin, homemade flour tortillas! Guacamole was freshly made. Chips were toasted and the salsa verde was awesome but too spicy for me. We had tea and water but saw some huge micheladas being served on our way out. We’ll go again for breakfast. Very clean, bright and inviting. Annie was one of our two waitresses, both impeccable with timing and refills on tea, water & chips. Go see them!”

“This was our second visit to the Landry's restaurant establishment in Galveston Island. I had the redfish dish blackened with etouffee on top and it was very good. My wife had a combination meal where she had a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was chicken and sausage gumbo I have to say that the gumbo was absolutely terrible. We had a similar experience with Landry's restaurant near Lafayette. The gumbo there was Even worse. It's really unfortunate that people who try gumbo and don't know how gumbo is supposed to taste was exposed to that dish. My wife and family and extended family all know how to cook gumbo and Mr fertitta really ought to get somebody else to make his gumbo for him and his restaurant.”

“Stopped by with my fiancée for Steak night on Thursday. The whole experience was fantastic! Starting with the hostess greeting us with a big smile, our server/bartender Matt was on top of everything, I requested a couple drinks of the menu and he was able to make them without a problem. The food was outstanding as well, our steaks were cooked to perfection topped with the lemon butter crab. The manager Ozzy checked on us multiple times and even opened the bottle of Prosseco that we ordered. Overall 10 out 10.Luis”

“Update: We gave it a few more chances and it has been worth it, love the Tuna Tar tar and the staff lately has been great, let's see how they handle the ramped up summer.Place has potential, needs better service and they will not split checks for over 8 ppl we were told at the end of the meal, which caused a cluster F to close out.- Not worth the $$”
“Went to Galveston with 2 of my daughters and the first place we went to was Bubba Gump Shrimp. All of the staff were awesome and the view was great! The food hit the spot on a windy March evening.”
“We just happened to see this place and wanted to check it out. Waited a reasonable time considering it was dinner time on a weekend. The food and service was amazing! We are not from the area but would come back here the next time we come back☺️”
“Delicious Viet fusion food and even greater service! Spike, the owner, is incredibly kind and friendly to all his customers! The concept is also very fun; there's even a cannon that shoots mist from the top of the restaurant!”

“Only had time to sample the ice cream here, of which the Lime & Orange sherbet were amazing! Old fashioned soda fountain style place. Super quality chocolate and confectionery, coffee, soft drinks etc. Beautiful building too. Would happily return.”
“The seafood gumbo is one of the best I've ever had. Po'boy is incredible. We had the shrimp and oyster. Karen was an excellent server, we'll be back!”
“Perfect breakfast! The poblano Benny and omelette are delicious! Highly recommend! Kind-hearted servers and cleaning dinning room made for an excellent meal. ? ?Parking: Parking is available close to main entrance.”
“Oscar was our server and was definitely the nicest person my husband and I have met since being in Texas for our honeymoon! He went above and beyond and gave us a simple desert as the sweetest gesture!”

“Can't really rate the food as we did not eat, but we hung out at the awesome roof top bar and had delicious drinks! Awesome gulf views and trendy outdoor furniture takes this place up a notch from the others on the Seawall, it's a cool place as we stopped by on our bikes (Which they do not have a bike rack) which is rare on the seawall. I can say it is a little pricey, even the drinks.”
