Great first experience! Got the Sampler Plate, cobbler of the day which was super peachy, and wow what a meal. Beans are a must with the meat pieces mixed in.A nice touch is the vinyl record player with a pretty decent collection. It wasn't playing when I walked in. Previously customer complained. But, with Foo Fighters queued up, I had to play as I waited.Long story short, damn good food. Proof, cats loved it too. Worth using your hands like a caveman.
A friend recommended Jimmy Vega's, went there for the first time and did a take out lunch. No complaints, not a one.The food was delicious, the staff was nice and the atmosphere in this 110+ year old house was quite interesting.I ordered the "oh, I don't know..." platter with Jimmy beans, crack corn and three slices of bread.
