My kids don't usually like barbecue places. My husband and I love them and go to them all the time. We stopped at Hammonds on a recent trip through Glen Rose. We had been here before, but it had been awhile. Everything was good, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage was very good. I got a three meat plate with ribs, sausage and turkey. My onion rings on the side were also really good. The ribs are good, but not top level. The turkey was just turkey. We called in an order and it was ready in 10 min. on a Sat evening. Pleasant staff and very good BBQ Ribs. We especially liked the black pepper bark on the ribs and the sauce was really good. Potato salad, cole slaw and onion rings were excellent. BIG ribs lots of tender meat. Really Hammond's Good Job. Older folks like us appreciate good food at a reasonable cost. Also try the Fried Pie at the Fried Pie Shop on 67.
