“My kids don't usually like barbecue places. My husband and I love them and go to them all the time. We are in town for Fossil Rim Nature Preserve and have been hearing lots of good things about Hammond's. So we decided that the kids could just deal and come with us to another barbecue place. Well they ate so much food that they were all complaining about how full they were! They absolutely loved the food! We got to meet the owner. He was the sweetest man ever! We will definitely be back!Our only negative was that our server was not very experienced. She did not check on us very often. She gave us the check right away before we even had a chance to order dessert.We ended up ordering dessert and it was delicious! We tried the peach cobbler, the blackberry cobbler and the pecan pie 10 out of 10 on all three! I loved the loaded potato with chopped brisket! So so delicious! My kids devoured their ribs!Hopefully next time I come in our sweet server will have a little more training. Will check on us more. Will clear garbage off of our table more often and will fill up our drinks more often. Other than that, everything else was amazingly perfect!“
“The girls and I found this place through a local resident! It's out in the middle of nowhere, but it was good food and great service! They have live music too. There is an area behind the restaurant where people can eat outside or the kids can run around.“
