Simply the best. Brisket is perfect, ribs are fantastic, so far that is as far as I have gotten….cuz, why stray from perfection to venture into other areas when the first two satisfy? Bet the chicken and sausage are perfect too! Added bonus, after dining in, I wore that smokey flavor on my clothes the rest of the day, perfect ambiance!
Our group tried a bit of just about everything… brisket, sausage, ribs, turkey, and pork tenderloin! The rib meat practically slid right off the bone and the brisket was done moist and tender it pulled apart with a fork. The sausage casing was thin and crispy with a nice snap to it. The sausage itself was a fairly course grind with a mild smoky flavor. The turkey was juicy with just a hint of the smoky taste pure perfection. Outstanding barbecue joint. The brisket was excellent. The sausage was really good but not my go-to. I would recommend the ribs and turkey, for sure. They were both the stars of the show. If I'm in Gonzales any time soon, I will absolutely go back.
