“I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped in. The aesthetic is "more pink" but it's so much more. Old school candies, a mixture of creative and down home bakery items, and the most amazing customer service. The best part - it tastes as good as it looks. “These are some of the BEST cookies in area!! Highly recommend stopping by Cookie Society if you're in need of a sweet treat! The inside is adorable and is a great grab-and-go dessert option after eating/shopping in Southlake Town Square. The cookies are expensive, but fully worth it for the quality! We ordered a pack of 4 ($16.50) and added one extra cookie. Our chosen flavors were Croissant, Stuffed French Toast, Honey Butter Biscuit, Banana Pudding, and Salted Caramel. Our favorite was the Croissant cookie!! It was unbelievably delicious and so unique. MUST ORDER! Close second for us was the Stuffed French Toast. Already looking forward to my next visit!“

“Stopped in C Maries after eating lunch at the mexican restaurant next door.. Their sign says cupcakes and I have actually had cupcakes from them before and they were good. And this time (although their cupcakes looked good) we actually bought a few of their cakepops which were really good. They had a customer in their picking out or designing a wedding cake, but they were very nice and helpful to us.“

“1st time here and got to meet the owner who was super sweet. The store is very cute and you can see how much the owner is passionate about her bakery. We walked in after eating dinner across the street and even though the shop was in the last hour of closing she was happy as can be to make us feel welcome.There were tons of unique little treats in the display and it was a little tough to choose only one because they ALL sounded SO GOOD. We even grabbed my pup a little dog biscuit. We will definitely return here next time we are in the mood for an afternoon treat!“

“This bakery is used by a member of the Dallas chapter of DAR. My daughter raved about the cakes at their meetings and for her birthday, she asked if we could have a marble cake from Texas Star. I've never bought a birthday cake in my life, so I figured it was time. So for my little girls 38th birthday, she finally got a bought cake! I told them to make it an Easter decorated marble cake. Festive and fun. It was all we hoped it would be. Tons of buttercream icing and super moist, delicious cake. I made the long trek to pick it up (about 50 miles) and it was ready as promised. They were slammed because it was the Saturday before Easter and the staff was friendly and helpful with all the people showing up to get all the Easter goodies! Thanks Texas Star!“

“The maximum capacity inside is possibly 10, making it a really small space. Given the lack of reviews, I assume the establishment is also fairly new. Either way I landed here on a whim. Nevertheless, I enjoy pastries, and one thing I liked about this place is that they displayed their warm bread on racks, as I believe any bakery should do. If you simply place your hand over the bread, you can feel the warmth radiating from it. Additionally, the bread was all proportionately sized, and the bread I did purchase was incredibly soft and flavorful. They also make cakes in addition to their regular pastries, so if you're interested, just ask the employee on duty that day. It was also nice to see that they appeared to have a small rack of candies and snacks with Mexican influences. They basically stay open all day, which is odd for a bakery in my opinion. I think it has to do with the fact that they may be new and need to stay open for more customers, though I'm not entirely sure. I don't fully remember their exact hours, but I do remember that they opened at 7 am almost every day and closed at 9 pm the majority of the time. Another small note was that they did have a refrigerator section where they kept some items like milk, tortillas, cheese, etc. Therefore, if you enjoyed any of that with your bread, they do have some on hand in the refrigerator. I will say that I liked about two-thirds of the breads I bought, and the flavor matched the bread choice perfectly. The flavor of the bread will be present if purchased warm, as was already mentioned, but for one of the breads, I've definitely had better. However, I'd like to go back and try more bread as I currently stand at a 3 with taste. In any case, since most of it was great, this establishment is a nice little spot, and the staff was incredibly friendly, so for me the overall rating is four stars.“

“Bought another cake from here. 1st one was a chocolate tres leches cake. Oh my! It was fabulous!! This time I bought a white cake/ white icing with a raspberry filling. “Great place to try variety of ice cream flavors, non-fat, non-dairy etc. variety of toppings. Now they also have cookies, so you can have cookie ice cream sandwiches. Service was good, it was Friday evening so place was was little crowded. We could smell something bad as we entered, not sure what it was but felt uncomfortable.“

“Went here a while ago and I was in love with this place! Their ice creams are just amazing! We ordered their signature Oreo Overload which had vanilla ice cream, oreos, chocolate chips, and chocolate fudge! They mix it in front of you and then serve it in a waffle bowl or a simple bowl. The ice cream was just so good! Makes me want to go back! The service was quick and they made sure to mix the creations separately for people with allergies! So make sure to inform them if you have any! Definitely going back!“

“Counter Culture Coffee (this place is more than cake!) - has everything I was looking for! A nice long walk between flights, a great alliteration name (not that I looking but who doesn't love a good alliteration) and fair trade certified coffee... not your standard Starbucks. Affordable, socially responsible and absolutely delicious coffee. Even the associate serving me was pleasant. 5-star all the way“
