I am from Houston, Texas. We don't have a good german bakery & deli close. I was in Waco on business and decided to come down.OMG!!! It is like going back to Germany. All of the meats, cheeses, baked goods, desserts, candy, drinks and condiments.I could have spent a bunch more. I mainly came for lieberkase but left with more than I planned since I wanted to bring a little Germany back to the family when I return tomorrow.I/we will be back.
A couple of weeks back my wife and I ordered a Black Forest Cake for an old friend's Birthday. We couldn't be more happy that we ordered it from Pfeifer's. First the cake was beautiful. It was traditional and crafted expertly. Second, (but most important) the flavor was amazing!! We had taken this cake to the Veterans Nursing home where our friend for many years now resides. Love this place i travel 3hour from Houston and 3 hours back to Houston every few weeks because this is the best place for german bread and pastries and cakes and more.We do have a german store in Pearland and thats great however when it comes to fresh bread and cakes and meat pfeifer is great.
