“Finally! Dave's is a wonderful place to go enjoy some good food. The brisket and fajitas were delicious! The servers, food, service, and atmosphere are great. You'll definitely have to have their banana pudding. It is most excellent! A deserving 5 out of 5.“
“This is a go-to restaurant for a custom meal. Good Mongolian BBQ with high-quality ingredients and plenty of choices for spices and oils. Fast food atmosphere and inexpensive. Worth the trip and the money.Vegetarian options: All meats are separated and segregated.Dietary restrictions: Common grill, so purity not guaranteed.Kid-friendliness: Easy to satisfy kids.Wheelchair accessibility: No barriers, door not motorized.“
“My son had been there and I really liked their Barbacoa! Went to my usual place on north 77 for barbacoa and couldn't believe the line all the way to the street and knowing that once I make it in they're going to tell me they're out like before so I called Capistran on F street and was told they had plenty so I went over there and was able to get in without the hassle of waiting and like I said before their barbacoa is excellent and well drained. It's nice to know I have this choice now. I'll be going there and getting my tortillas and barbacoa now. Thanks Capistran!“
“Had brisket and jalapeño sausage for dinner on a Tuesday evening; it was pretty slow when I got there, but everyone was super-friendly and appreciative. The brisket was very tender & moist, and thick-cut. The sausage was OK, kinda dry. My sides were delicious (the potato salad was chunky, and the charro beans had bits of pulled pork in them), and the banana pudding was SO yummy!!I had to order my beer separately (the bar is set away from the food area). I did not like that I was given a pre-cut portion of pickles and onions (placed in little sealed bags) and a pill cup filled with BBQ sauce: every BBQ place I’ve ever been has self-serve pickles, onions, and sauces. The location is cavernous, and when not busy, it seems more empty. The bar offers some local draft options, including 5x5 (The “Vaquero,” named for the UTRGV mascot, is a wonderful blood orange wheat beer!).Overall, a good experience. I’m not sure if there is any extra cost to asking for more pickles/onions & sauce.Parking: Parking lot is smaller, lots of holes and bumps“
“Nice place for one or a family to dine. The food was just ok. I had a hamburger cooked medium that was very dry.The lettuce was not a leaf, as you would usually get in a quality restaurant, but shredded with the bad taste of the plastic it came in.I can't speak to their stakes as we only had hamburgers for lunch.“
“Very packed and for the amount of people in that restaurant the bathrooms are very small and very dirty . The service was very professional and speedy. The waitresses were on point.Parking: You have to park in another store's parking lot.“
“I had been looking for a place to host a get together for area veterans and found this place. I'm glad I did. From when we got there until we left, the service was great and the food was really good. I will definitely consider this place again for future meetings.“
“Food always good, service usually good. 4-6-2024 visit for bfast. Wife had never been. I tried something different. It was a meat lovers breakfast skillet. Enough for two people. Didn't finish it. Had to get a to go box. 3-19-2024 visit was just a round of beef enchiladas. Delicious! 3-4-24 visit was Mo's special“
“First time at Papas & Papas and it was an amazing experience. David made sure we knew what they had on the menu. He also took the time to explain what came with some of the choices and made some recommendations to what we should try. Everyone was nice and checked in to make sure all was well. We loved the food and will definitely be back again. Thank you Papas & Papas for your amazing service!“
